”I joined Sollers for the first time in February 2️⃣0️⃣1️⃣6️⃣ and exactly a decade later (even same cold month) I decided to return. Since I left, Sollers has grown significantly. Today, it offers a broad range of projects and opportunities for my professional growth. 🪴

In addition to core insurance system implementations which I was working on back then, now I work with Cloud, AI, DevOps, Salesforce, and integration platforms. 🚨Passwords were never going to save you. Here’s why.

❔ Do you know how many services currently hold a password you’ve reused somewhere else?
❔ Would you notice if you were redirected through a fake login page before landing on the real one?
❔ Do you actually read your MFA prompts – or just tap „approve”?
❔ Would „HTTPS” and a padlock icon be enough to convince you a website is safe?
❔ If your email address leaked in a data breach five years ago, would you even know?

🔵 These aren’t rhetorical questions. 🟢 Most people get at least one of them wrong – and attackers are counting on it. For insurers, sitting on policyholder data, claims records, and payment details, the stakes of getting it wrong are even higher. They spot the trap before you have a risk to trust them. 👮

In August, we celebrate 90 years together! 🥳

Counting time at Sollers of Marcin x2, Kamil x2, Łukasz, Bartek, Maria, Sebastian, Jakub, Patryk, Asia, Maks, Czarek we reach almost a century in one team.🤩

Between us, we’ve seen bugs come and go, projects start and finish, technologies become “the next big thing”, new offices openings. Some things, however, remain unchanged: ☕️&🍷together, celebrations around the world, and the ability to say “we’ll sort it out”. 💪

So here’s to our August anniversary crew! 🥳
We cannot be happier to have you onboard and celebrate together! (and with Czarek celebrating on his vacation, and Bartek without a photo).

The author may have some reservations about attaching a sea shanty to this post but certainly doesn’t want to go against the wonderful community of sailors that has grown at Sollers thanks to Kajetan and his biggest passion. ⛵💙

Kajtek based (obviously) in the Gdańsk office, runs an annual sailing trip bringing together almost 100 of us. Pretty impressive integration started by one person, isn’t it? 😎

And this time, he ran a Brown Bag session on how to turn your hobby into company’s tradition, uniting teams from whole Poland, inspiring others with his drive. ⛵

Brown Bag is another Sollers’ tradition built around inspiring others to grow – knowledge sharing session about 🤸‍♂️ passions, 🌱 self-development, 🎓 lessons learned to follow and ✖️mistakes better left unrepeatable.

And if this post somehow ends with everyone craving the sea and a good old shanty… well, we’ll know who to blame. 🌊⛵

🌞 When we opened our Valencia office in September 2022, Peter was there from first moments.

🫶 Looking back, it’s hard to imagine our Valencian team without him. He’s not just one of its first employees – he’s become team’s heart.

🇭🇺 🇪🇸 Originally from Hungary, Peter found his second home in Spain. The sunshine, the sea, the beaches, and everything Valencia has to offer quickly won him over. Since Sollers doesn’t have an office in Hungary (yet!), we cannot be happier that he decided to make the move.

🤩 He is truly the spirit of the Valencian location. He supports local integrations, teamwork, and lends a hand with countless day-to-day matters.

🤓 His impact goes far beyond office life - recently became a Business Specialist, currently working on the biggest Spanish project. In his analytical role, he helps bridge the gap between customer needs and technical solutions, turning ideas into real business value.

❔So, what does Peter appreciate most about Sollers ❔

Apart from pushing records of kindness, Peter challenges himself in sports, 🏃🏽‍♂️ taking on marathons and 🚴🏽‍♂️ bike races. But he admits, he can also peacefully enjoy the moment – with a book and a nice view. 📖

New job comes with plenty of firsts. It helps when at least 1️⃣ thing already feels familiar.

🫶 At Sollers, from your first day, you get a buddy. A person who was exactly in your place, wearing your new-joiner shoes, walking the path you are going to walk. Someone who helps smooth out the learning curve, so you can focus on growing.

😊 Buddies are outside your project, so they can offer a different perspective, answer the questions you might not want to ask your project fellows. And each pair has a lunch budget – a simple excuse to step away from their desks and have a conversation that doesn’t fit into a meeting invite.

And one day, it’s your turn to become a buddy, helping others bloom. 🪴

Ania joined Sollers. Twice. ✌️

First time, few years ago, starting her career in IT. Over 4 years, she has been working across insurance, DevOps, and data projects. 📈 But curiosity took her away from consulting to the product side and she admits it was valuable experience. But she realized she missed the p(l)ace 💙💚, the variety, and the endless learning that consulting brings. 🤓
So here she is, back where every project is a new challenge. Sometimes the best next step is a familiar one. 💚

Most cyber incidents don’t begin with sophisticated, high‑end attacks. They start with daily “I’ll do it tomorrow”. 🦥

Things like:
❌ postponing software updates,
❌ reusing the same password “just this once”,
❌ skipping MFA because it feels inconvenient,
❌ clicking before thinking,
❌ assuming that “it won’t happen to me”.

From an insurer’s perspective, these behaviours matter enormously. They’re among the most common root causes of cyber incidents – and they’re also the easiest to change.

Imagine policies that don’t just compensate for losses, but actively reward safer digital habits:
✅ enabling MFA on key accounts,
✅ using a secure password manager,
✅ completing short self-awareness training sessions,
✅ following recommended device settings,
✅ or regularly reviewing privacy and security configurations.

They’re actions that directly reduce the likelihood of a successful attack 🫣 – and, in turn, reduce claim frequency and severity. 😇
