Yesterday, a group of members of Polish Canadian Chamber of Commerce had the pleasure of taking part in the latest edition of the International Speed Business Mixer in vibrant Poznań. 🤝💼

The event brought together over 100 professionals representing a wide range of industries and companies, all eager to network, exchange ideas, and build valuable business connections. As always, the dynamic format proved highly effective — during three structured 20-minute sessions, participants introduced their businesses in small groups and exchanged insights and business cards. The evening then continued in a more relaxed atmosphere with great conversations, delicious food, and drinks. 🥂

Representatives of the Polish Canadian Chamber of Commerce — President Bernhard L.Otterstein and Vice President George Havaris — had the pleasure of participating in the Canada–EU SAFE Conference held in Budapest on May 12–13, organized by the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Hungary with the support of the Government of Canada.

The conference brought together senior policymakers, defence industry leaders, and strategic partners from Canada and across Europe to discuss the industrial and strategic implications of the EU SAFE framework at a critical moment for Europe’s security and industrial readiness.

What stood out throughout the discussions was how quickly the conversation around European and Canadian defence cooperation is evolving. Established Tier 1 Canadian and European defence companies, policymakers, and emerging firms all came together to better understand the future of trusted industrial partnerships, resilient supply chains, sovereign capabilities, and long-term transatlantic strategic alignment.

A key takeaway from the event was that Canada’s participation in the SAFE programme is no longer viewed as a future possibility, but as a practical opportunity to create real business partnerships, market access, and scalable defence capabilities on both sides of the Atlantic.

PCCC is also very pleased that our member companies, including CAE and Galvion participated in this important event.

🌊 Gdańsk set the tone for an outstanding evening of international networking!

On 14 April, the Polish Canadian Chamber of Commerce together with fellow IGCC chambers, co-hosted the International Speed Business Mixer at Arche Hotel Lotnisko Gdańsk. The event gathered a diverse group of professionals and created a lively space for building new relationships and strengthening existing ones.

The atmosphere made it clear that in-person connections still matter most. Newcomers quickly became part of the community, while familiar faces had the chance to reconnect through meaningful, direct conversations.

The programme was complemented by engaging highlights, including a special prize draw by KLM Royal Dutch Airlines and a unique giveaway prepared by Arche Hotel Gdańsk.

We also extend our thanks to Raben Group, PCCC member company, for supporting the event as a sponsor.

✨ A truly memorable evening at the Winter Reception hosted at the Embassy of Canada | Ambassade du Canada in Warsaw. ✨

The yesterday event brought together a remarkable group of guests, creating a vibrant and dynamic atmosphere filled with meaningful conversations and a genuine spirit of collaboration. It was inspiring to see such strong engagement and openness to building new partnerships between Poland and Canada.

A highlight of the evening was the address by H.E. Ambassador Catherine Godin, who emphasized the importance of the Poland–Canada Strategic Partnership announced last year by Prime Ministers Mark Carney and Donald Tusk. Her remarks clearly underlined the growing strength and future potential of bilateral relations.

We were also honored by the presence of Parliamentary Secretary Yasir Naqvi 🇨🇦, whose words reflected great enthusiasm and appreciation for Poland as a key partner.
