Our aim was to create a strong and clear visual identity for the Lower Silesian Orienteering Federation (DZOS). We wanted to provide the Federation with an additional tool to attract attention and clearly communicate that orienteering is an exciting and highly demanding sport.
Using a powerful red color combined with a minimalist logo proved to be an effective choice. The graphic represents the acronym of the organization’s name, “DZOS,” while the letterforms are composed to resemble an orienteering course drawn on a map.
Triangles, circles, and lines—common symbols used in orienteering maps—are shared elements across all four disciplines supervised by the Federation: foot orienteering, mountain bike orienteering, ski orienteering, and trail orienteering. The Federation’s mission is to make orienteering a truly popular, visible, and recognizable sport in the Lower Silesia region of Poland.

When your brand grows, you get new ideas!
That is exactly what happened with Sudety Cup team. After a sucesfull launch of Sudety Cup, they decided to add one more event to their schedule – Mazury Cup. This orienteering event takes place in the Masuria woodlands, where a lake is always nearby.

To keep these two events visually coherent, we decided to keep the overall visual grid and compositions of the Sudety Cup brand, but we applied a new logo and colors to reflect the distinct vibe of the Masuria landscapes. For this event, we chose the Maria font by , as it resembles the flowyness of lakes and the undulating landform. The color palet is much brighter and vivid, just like the sunsets over the Masurian lakes.

A great team of organizers + an amazing landscapes for orienteering + an engaged design team!

Sudety Cup is a four day event taking place in the Sudety Mountains and the decision to use a beautiful Sudety font for this purpose was just a no brainer. The font comes from our friendly foundry and was designed by / .work, inspired by this breathtaking area.

For the "Orientuj się" brand we have created a playful visual identity to catch the eye of the school students. The arrows and symbols in the logo refer to frequent changes of directions during this race and searching for control points.

The "Orientuj się" project was created to popularise orienteering in Wroclaw. Nearly 16.000 students were participating in special physical education classes. They learned about the rules of this sport and how to use a map.

We strongly believe in a deep collaborative process and workshops as key to help you define the vibe of your brand and materialize that gut feeling into a coherent visual strategy.

The workshops we held with the Dobry Event team gave four basic values of this brand: activity, rivalry, space, and surprise. We used four symbols similar to topographic map symbols to translate these values into a visual language. Based on this simple set of symbols and colors, we created a fun visual identity.

Some projects need fast implementation. Although we prefer to have time for in-depth analysis and design work we also enjoy from time to time making a quick design. For the Polish Club Championships, our client needed a fast strategy. 

The City of Kielce where the Championships were taking place is famous as a city of witches. We decided to make a witch as an orienteering pictogram. Pictograms are very visually familiar for orienteerers because every runner has them on their map during the competition races.

While designing the logo for the European MTB Orienteering Championships, we decided to go with a finish symbol used in orienteering maps and retouch it by adding a sprocket shape and a gravel road symbol.

Wawel Cup / is an orienteering event with a long history, dating back to 1982. We were commissioned the brand redesign. The aim was to reflect two strongest values of the brand's identity: tradition/history and modernity. We decided to use the shape of a shield, which is part of the Wawel Krakow club's logo. We aimed at a dynamic and modern look and thus used a friendly-looking font. A "hidden" letter C gives it a three-dimensional feel - like in the hide and seek game - exactly what orienteering is all about.

„Being a good example is the best form of service.” Sathya Sai Baba - this is the motto of the Kuyavia brand. We were pleased to work with Bartosz Pawlak , who had the courage to choose sophisticated graphic forms and a minimalistic look. Our design reflects the core values of this brand: influence, high quality and precision. We've also managed to communicate the lake character of the Kuyavia region, where the competition takes place.
