industry. The effective application of this approach was instrumental in the establishment of a hospital, several retail stores and a branch of a major credit union within the last five years. We focus on helping clients to make decisions, not on publishing fancy documents to decorate shelves. For example, a project that ended in the construction of a new $30-million hospital required our involvement in negotiations with the entity providing a guarantee for a bond issue. We also helped the client to evaluate several strategic options regarding siting, financing and competitive positioning in a regional health care market. We reengineered the process to handle complaints at a major Government agency. The project started with the selection of an eight-person team including officials from the head office, managerial personnel from one regional office and social workers involved directly with cases.
