Today with total pride UNESCO has succeeded to inscribe Palestine's Sebastia on both the World Heritage List and the List of World Heritage in Danger.

Thanks to the huge effort by the UNESCO, Palestine Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities and the international committee

LionHeart 3D is honored to have collaborated with the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities in Palestine and the UNESCO on the documentation of Tel Sultan.

This collective effort contributed to the successful inscription of Tel Sultan as a World Heritage Site, a milestone achievement that celebrates Palestine’s rich cultural legacy and ensures its preservation for future generations.

Looking at all the sites that we had the pleasure of documenting and scanning in 3D; only one site has eluded us for many years. We can see it near but it has always been so far.

The Dome of the Rock is one of the most iconic Islamic landmarks in the world, located in Jerusalem on the Al-Aqsa compound (Al-Haram al-Sharif). Built in the late 7th century by the Umayyad Caliph ʿAbd al-Malik, it is the oldest surviving Islamic monument. The structure is an octagonal shrine crowned with a golden dome, built over a sacred rock that holds deep religious significance in Islam, Christianity, and Judaism most notably associated with the Prophet Muhammad’s Night Journey and ascension to heaven.

When you are invited to be part of something greater than yourself, the feeling is always humbling. On Saturday, March 7th, 2026, we were honored with the privilege of scanning inside the Nativity Church specifically the grotto, the sacred cave believed to be the birthplace of Jesus. Standing there, regardless of faith or background, you cannot help but feel a profound sense of wonder and reverence. For six hours we worked carefully, capturing every detail, and the data we gathered left us in awe. It was more than just scanning it was a moment of connection to history, to humanity, and to something timeless.

Did you know that one of the oldest cities in the world is in Palestine?

Tell es-Sultan in Jericho is an archaeological site dating back over 10,000 years. Long before pyramids were built in Egypt, people were already living here and building some of the first known city walls in human history.

Today, technologies like 3D laser scanning and digital heritage preservation allow us to document places like Tell es-Sultan with incredible accuracy ensuring their stories survive for future generations.

Our past is not just history… it's data waiting to be preserved.
