Running a business is like a double-sided coin.
On one hand, it’s true that in the first three years, we work much harder than we would as employees.
But it’s also true that we work to achieve financial, time, and even emotional freedom.
The business should always serve our life.
There will always be times when we’ll have to miss a family event because of the business.
I can still recall the moments I wasn’t there.
But I always made sure that during those times, my children had happy memories.
Today, I know that even though I remember my absence, in their minds, it was just a fun activity where mom happened not to be there—end of story.
There are also moments we can only experience because we’ve built our own business.
Otherwise, with rigid schedules, it simply wouldn’t be possible.
Having a business is, above all, about balancing the scales of life.
More than anything, it’s about living the dream every single day.
Even on those days when everything feels like a challenge.
And when the challenge becomes too big, it’s time to find another process that makes sense to us.
Sacrificing life isn’t acceptable, but giving up on the business isn’t an option either.
