Also, AERO@UBI won the Circular Economy Award, for demonstrates circular economy thinking during the design and manufacturing process of the prototype. DROTAG.x is an onboard image tagging computer, designed to work alongside Ardupilot based flight controllers, that sits between your Sony Alpha Series camera and your flight controller, allowing you to plan the camera trigger events and have the pictures taken automatically geotagged on the fly. Upon landing you only need to take out the card from your camera and the images are immediately available and ready to be used in your favorite mapping software.
All relevant position metadata is fully embedded on image’s EXIF. DROTAG.x also provides extra files containing all the flight attitude angles for every image (roll, pitch and yaw) to give you extra accuracy on stitching software like Pix4D Mapper. It is the simplest, easiest and fastest way for geotagging your photos!
