THEIA develops interactive digital solutions, virtual reconstructions, 3D surveys and remote monitoring systems based on satellite data.

THEIA is a company incubated at Instituto Pedro Nunes (Coimbra, Portugal) that is developing digital solutions and remote monitoring systems based on satellite data. We have created SENSEOS, a monitoring platform for archaeological sites and cultural heritage based on satellite data. This platform was awarded as the winner of the World Summit Awards Portugal 2019 for "Culture and Tourism. It was also one of the 2019 finalists of the Copernicus Masters Social Entrepreneurship Challenge. We have also developed "ERMES - Extensive Road Monitoring Early-warning System", a platform based on satellite data to assess ground and slope stability over large road and highway networks. This project was awarded with the 2019 Copernicus Masters - BMVI Digital Transport Challenge. THEIA participated in the European Space Agency - Business Incubation Center (ESA-BIC) Portugal. THEIA participated in HIT3CH - HERCULES Interface for Technology Transfer and Teaming in Cultural Heritage, promoted by the HERCULES Laboratory.
