Hortitool Consulting Lda. Consultancy on soft fruit crops as strawberries, raspberries, blackberries and blueberries and other Knowledge is everything.

Since 2004 involved in small fruit production after 2009 reach international production market updating knowledge about growing and trading. In 2012, i start advising soft fruit growers in Portugal as a hobby, that became my full time job in 2015. Now and with a bigger network, more and more colaboration with international advisers from countries as The Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Uk, Spain and Italy are coming into my direction.

This week’s post is not from a field visit, but from something equally valuable: a picture shared by clients showing the evolution of their crops during the season.

For me, this is one of the best signs of technical follow-up: when growers observe, record, and share what is happening in the field. Crop development is not only measured during visits. It is built day by day, through good communication, attention to detail, and trust between the grower and the consultant.

Different countries, different conditions, different seasons — but the same objective: healthy crops, good decisions, and better results.

A publicação desta semana não vem de uma visita de campo, mas de algo igualmente valioso: uma fotografia partilhada por clientes, mostrando a evolução das suas culturas ao longo da campanha.

Para mim, este é um dos melhores sinais de acompanhamento técnico: quando os produtores observam, registam e partilham o que está a acontecer no campo. O desenvolvimento da cultura não se avalia apenas durante as visitas. Constrói-se dia após dia, com boa comunicação, atenção ao detalhe e confiança entre o produtor e o consultor.
