But enjoying your job
doesn’t mean you stop wanting choice.

Some days you give your sharpest energy away
and come home with just enough left to reset.
Still grateful. Still committed.
Still quietly aware there’s more to build.

That’s why I’m building in parallel.
Not because I hate corporate life.
But because I don’t want my freedom
to depend on one role, one title, one calendar.

I don’t want to ask for time.
I want to design it.

How to hire the right way✨

The 3 best tips I have ever gotten and tested about recruiting new team members as an online business owner myself as well as in my role as an Online Business Manager, recruiting for my clients, are:

🤍Get crystal clear about who you want to be in the business and what you want to be doing day-in, day-out. This way it will be much easier for you to lead the business into the right direction

🤍People that match the required skill-set will accurately do what you ask them to do and will help you reach your short-term goals, people that feel aligned with your values and are passioned about your business vision will help you grow your business and stay at your side in the long-term. Decide upfront which profile your business needs right now.

🤍Once you have chosen the right candidate ask them what motivates them to start working with you as well as what is concerning them about the collaboration. This way you can meet them where they are standing and connect with them earlier and easier as if you are just guessing the response to these two questions.

New team member? No problem! While every business is different there are 5 core components that will help you smoothen their onboarding which will make them stay longer, work happier and become a high-performer early on.

1. Share your business values and vision, this will help them align with your goals (New team members want to know where the business is going!)

2. Set up a call with every team member for them. While you will, of course, introduce new team members during your first meeting together, they will never remember all names and faces after the first meeting. Setting up individual calls will help both sides to bond earlier and know better when to collaborate because they will have an individual 1:1 introduction (the casual coffee corner chat that won't happen remotely)

3. Showing them around the virtual office space? Just hit record. Thought you don’t need a space for your team as you are working remote only? Think again. Your virtual office space will be as important for communication and collaboration as your physical office has been. How about making it a pleasant place to stay in?
