"From the point of view of capitalist society's own perpetuity, it is unprofitable to exalt the acceptability and beauty of our bodies, as this will destroy any need for the acquisition of goods. It is much more profitable to sell the myth "you have to look a certain way to be happy" and encourage us to change and " improving "our bodies through diet, cosmetics, plastic surgery and other such methods" (c)

Intro to Social status? What is it?

Thinking about the audience that reads my posts, I delved into the topic of social status and social class.
I thought that the station is the best illustration of different statuses. The bourgeoisie, the intelligentsia, the proletariat are concepts distorted in our perception in connection with their application in history. How important it was, although do you think it is important now?
can I classify myself as a bourgeois by definition, since the word "bourgeois" in Old French (burgeis, borjois) means "city dweller".

Social status is the level of social value a person is considered to hold. [1] [2] More specifically, it refers to the relative level of respect, honour, perceived competence and reverence accorded to individuals, groups and organizations in society. Status is based on widely held beliefs about who members of a society consider to be of comparatively greater or lesser social value, in other words, who they think is superior in terms of competence or moral character. “Every person must choose how much truth he can stand.”

"Each man must choose how much truth he can bear." Yalom (s)

What is difficult in therapy? Why does it seem banal and ridiculous to go and tell someone about yourself? Or ashamed, sad, hurt, something does not let you in, there are a lot of reasons why "no" ...
Some say: others are worse, let them go; I can do it anyway; I know what will happen there and I will not go; I don't know and won't waste time either; some do not even know that their habitual troubles have long swallowed up their freedom of life.

The most difficult thing is not to turn to a psychologist and not admit that there is a problem (although this is already a lot), it is difficult to withstand the reality of your life, which you wanted to ignore for a very long time, and then crawl out from under the slab of guilt and a sense of responsibility for what happened. Sometimes pulling himself out of the abyss of loneliness and serving a glass of soup to ground himself.

Each person can choose how much truth to endure and when it is time for them to leave.

Intro about Burnout Triggers

Let's talk about eternal topics - we'll start with "Burnout".
The topic has been popular for a couple of years, at least in my circle, and it has touched me and my colleagues.

I even went to a specialization course in working with burnout, and proudly declared there that I am a Master of Burnout. I wrote on Instagram and many responded that there are symptoms and the main question is what to do?
I would say that “burnout” is in itself a “symptom” or “characteristic” that is rooted in the of its owner.
By lifestyle, I mean - reactions, thoughts, decisions, behavior, emotions and choices, etc., what can be said about you and about you personally.

And of course, I would not consider “burnout” as the main problem and that it needs to be dealt with somehow, I repeat - this is just the result of the life of a large complex called “man”.
The most important thing that I took away from the training is the ability to see, to recognize when it is coming and why.

Moreover, it is unlikely that you will be able to see it yourself, because the symptoms of burnout, depression or chronic fatigue syndrome are similar, which means you can notice a symptom, and then go to a specialist to look for differences. But for us, "Burnout" sounds beautiful, more beautiful than "Depression".
In addition, burnout (according to WHO) refers specifically to the professional environment, that is, you are not considered burnt out while sitting at home looking for work or on maternity leave. I want to argue, but it's not worth it.

According to research, three groups of influencing factors can be distinguished:
1. Working conditions
2. Individual characteristics of a person
3. Presence/absence of support.
Please note that all factors are related to contact (with oneself too) or the environment created by people.
I tend to think that the second factor concerns everything in one way or another. But I also cannot say unequivocally what influences more - the society on the individual or the individual on the society, we are too connected. In any case, I open the discussion about burnout triggers related to the personal style of everyone: both the one who burns out and the one who causes others to burn out. In the next post, we will discuss the “working conditions” factor.

The benefits of group therapy include:

Group therapy allows people to receive empathy and support from other members of the group. People participating in the group can see others going through the same thing, which can help them feel less alone.

Group members can serve as role models for other group members. By watching someone successfully deal with a problem, other members of the group can see that there is hope for recovery. As each person develops, they can, in turn, serve as role models and support others. This can help develop a sense of success and achievement.

Group therapy is often very affordable. Instead of focusing on just one client at a time, the therapist can devote their time to a much larger group of people, which reduces costs for the participants.

Group therapy offers a safe haven. The setting allows people to practice behaviors and activities within the safety of the group.

Working in a group, the therapist can see firsthand how each person reacts to other people and behaves in social situations. Using this information, the therapist can provide valuable feedback to each client.

What is group therapy?
therapy is a form of psychotherapy in which two or more participants interact with each other on both an emotional and cognitive level in the presence of one or more psychotherapists who serve as catalysts, facilitators or interpreters.

Approaches vary, but in general they aim to create an environment where problems and concerns can be shared in an atmosphere of mutual respect and understanding.

Group therapy aims to increase self-esteem, deepen self-understanding and improve interpersonal relationships. Also called group psychotherapy.

This type of therapy is widely available in a variety of settings, including private practices, hospitals, mental health clinics, and community centers.

, (relatedness) - a feeling of connection with other people, often accompanied by affection, trust and a sense of personal security.

Humans are social animals and need to interact with other humans. This sense of kinship is demonstrated through social connections and through caring for others the way you are cared for.
Accepting oneself as part of a social species and understanding that interaction with people is a natural need, and not weakness, pain and suffering from losses is an important stage in growing up.

There are two conflicts associated with this:
1. Trends in independent, single and successful
2. challenging, exhilarating experience of relationships with the family and others

There is an that people are born with the ability, the talent to make friends and build connections, but no, it looks like a - it can be pumped;)
It is in psychotherapy that we can often try to build a relationship for the first time, it does not always work out, but this place is the safest.

is the ability to take control of one's life, deal effectively with specific problems and make changes in one's and one's , as opposed to the mere ability to adjust or to circumstances as they are. The confirmation, strengthening or achievement of the client's competence is often the main goal of psychotherapy.

Competence - maintained by providing the individual with optimal tasks and opportunities (specific goals that are challenging enough but not overwhelming), encouraging their sense of initiation (try it!), providing structure (e.g., evidence-based health advice) to mobilize and organize behavior and provide relevant feedback.

Giving people unexpected positive feedback on a task was found to increase their intrinsic motivation to complete it, which means it happened because the positive feedback satisfies people's need for competence. Positive feedback on a task only served to increase people's intrinsic motivation and decreased extrinsic motivation to complete the task.

Research related to the SDT ( -determination theory - SDT) theory found that negative feedback has the opposite effect, that is, it reduces intrinsic motivation, eliminating people's need for competence.

Self-determination theory ( -determination theory - SDT) is a macro theory of human motivation and personality that deals with innate growth tendencies and psychological needs.

In the mid-1980s, Edward L. Deci and Richard Ryan wrote the book Self-Determination and Intrinsic Motivation in Human Behavior, in which SDT was officially presented and accepted as a reliable empirical theory.
According to Desi and Ryan, three basic psychological needs motivate an individual to initiate behavior and determine what is beneficial to an individual's psychological health and well-being.

These are universal and innate needs for , and .

About the advice.

Don't give advice yet is asked until there is a request.

Not to pay attention until they have been asked to pay attention.

Don't be led to requests to solve other people's problems.

And if you've already asked, think about it: should I give advice? And who will be responsible for this now?

Important art is not to get involved in other people's affairs or offer help where a person can cope with it himself. To give an opportunity to live a personal experience.

Our inner struggle to be needed by someone and show, to feel our superiority in solving other people's affairs. Instead, look at yourself in the mirror and ask, "How can I help you?"
