Algo de curioso está a acontecer nas empresas.

A Inteligência Artificial já consegue resumir relatórios, prever cenários, sinalizar anomalias ou sugerir decisões a uma velocidade que, há poucos anos, pareceria quase ficção científica. A informação chega mais depressa, os dashboards tornam-se mais claros e as respostas parecem estar sempre à distância de um clique.

E, no entanto, muitas empresas parecem simplesmente acrescentar IA a estruturas, fluxos de validação e procedimentos que continuam a funcionar ao ritmo de outra época.

Como escreveu Philip K. Dick:

“A realidade é aquilo que, mesmo quando deixamos de acreditar nela, não desaparece.”

Talvez a questão já não seja apenas o que a IA consegue fazer, mas se as nossas organizações estão realmente preparadas para repensar a forma como as decisões circulam, são validadas e se transformam em ação.

Na PLIB Consultores, esta é uma conversa que temos cada vez mais com equipas de direção: como adaptar funções, fluxos de trabalho e processos de decisão a uma realidade onde a velocidade da informação mudou, mas as organizações nem sempre mudaram ao mesmo ritmo.

Tendo em conta a nossa atividade profissional em transformação digital e Inteligência Artificial, era quase inevitável experimentar um desafio diferente: criar uma nova versão do website da PLIB Consultores recorrendo exclusivamente a ferramentas de IA.

A experiência foi interessante, e devemos reconhecer que ficamos positivamente surpreendido com a simplicidade do processo proposto pela Hostinger, que conseguiu tornar algo tradicionalmente técnico muito mais acessível.

Houve naturalmente alguns desafios pelo caminho, nomeadamente garantir a separação entre o website e a gestão profissional dos emails (mantidos numa infraestrutura própria), bem como a configuração correta dos formulários de contacto para assegurar um encaminhamento fiável e dedicado.

For months now, we have been talking about AI.

Will it replace certain jobs? Some managers? Entire functions?

Perhaps.

But the more I observe organisations, the more I feel we may be asking the wrong question.

What if the real story is not AI?

What if the real story is decision-making?

Because even the smartest recommendation creates no value on its own.

An organisation still needs to know who decides, who owns the outcome, when humans should step back in, and how a recommendation becomes something executable.

I have seen situations where everything looked reassuring on paper.

KPIs were green. Dashboards looked healthy. Automation appeared to work.

And yet, something quietly stopped functioning.

Because nobody really knew when judgment was supposed to take over.

One sentence keeps coming back to me:

“The system did not fail. It worked exactly as designed.”

And sometimes, that is precisely the problem.

Your meetings are useless.
And AI won’t save them.

If you cancelled half of your meetings tomorrow, most organizations would continue to function.
That alone should make us think.
The problem is not intelligence.
The problem is decisions.
Most meetings end without: • a clear decision
• a responsible owner
• a non-negotiable deadline
Without those three elements, nothing was decided.
People simply talked.
AI can summarize the meeting.
AI can transcribe every word.
AI can produce a beautiful report.
But AI cannot invent a decision that was never made.
If your meeting is vague, AI will simply generate beautifully written vagueness.
In the PLIB approach, this is called decision architecture.
High-performing organizations are not the ones that debate best.
They are the ones that formalize decisions best.
Next time, before leaving the room or closing your laptop, make sure one question has a clear answer:
Who owns what, by when?
