Most people see the results.
Almost no one sees the reps.
Thanks to the incredible examples set by my aces Anthony La Touche, Elisa Padilla and from Kasey Brown - I've realized I need to keep talking more about that.
So, I did exactly this when I was recently featured in an interview in this week — a platform that highlights the stories behind the work, not just the outcomes.
I talked about the part of success we don’t post about enough — the pressure, the discipline, the setbacks, and the people who shaped our standards long before anyone was watching.
I shared where my work ethic really comes from: not just ambition, but a combination of place, people, and necessity.
That foundation - and remarkable mentor leaders in my journey, including Felicia Hall Allen, Alfred White, and my basketball coach Alonzo Littlejohn - shaped how I show up today — as a strategist, advisor, and believer that leadership is a sport you train for daily.
What I’ve learned: success isn’t built in big moments. It’s built in the reps no one sees.
If you’re in a season where you’re putting in reps no one applauds yet — keep going. This is where real momentum is built.
And if it helps, remind yourself that you aren't in it alone. My all-star teammates and I are in it too, and we're here to support you and help elevate your game.
