Meet John! I asked him why he decided to found NVS. Here's his answer:
"As an American citizen, I was disillusioned with LA's soaring rents and declining quality of life. Heading into my mid-thirties, I wanted a lifestyle change. Somewhere I could run my business in peace and enjoy a great quality of life without the financial stress of a high cost of living. It was time for me to move abroad. But where?
After a lot of research, I landed on Portugal. 300+ hours of sunshine, fantastic living conditions, reasonable property prices, nature, coastal landscapes and charming towns just a few miles from Lisbon pulled me in. Portugal sold me.
But back then, I didn’t know how long and drawn out the D7 visa process could be without the right support or resources. I didn’t feel comfortable spending money with expensive consultants. I did the whole application myself. And that’s when it hit me. What if there was a centralised system for helping people just like me to move to Portugal? That’s what led me to start Nomad Visa Solutions."
