Our 25 of April Bridge

Yesterday, we celebrated in Portugal, the Day of Liberty, and we kind of have a monument to remind us of the importance of that day. The "25 de Abril Bridge" is a suspension bridge connecting the city of Lisbon to the south side. The "opening" took place in 1966, at the time named Salazar Bridge - after Portuguese Prime Minister Oliveira Salazar - who ordered its construction. After the Carnation Revolution, in 1974, the name changed to "25 de Abril" to remind us all how dangerous a dictatorship can be...

Visit Jerónimos Monastery - Lisbon

One of the masterpieces of 16th-century architecture in Portugal is the Monastery of Jerónimos, located in Lisbon. It's a historical and monumental setting overlooking the Tagus River. It has a Church richly decorated boasting images of Portugal’s Patron Saint, St. Michael the Archangel, and Our Lady of Belém or Our Lady of Reis. It's a good plan for the weekend...

The time is now! Golden Visa!

If you want to apply for the Portugal Golden Visa, the time is now! The Portuguese government has announced the new draft law stating that they will continue to accept new applications for the Golden Visa until the new law terminating the program is published, what can happen after the next 45 days. Time for Tax Return Statements!

In Portugal, the period between April 1st and June 30th is the time to submit your Personal Income Tax. All individuals that have obtained earnings in the country in 2022 must submit the form online at https://lnkd.in/dKXgZnh9. And hopefully, you'll get some tax returns! Just don't forget to do it within the right time or you will get a fine!
