Exactly one year ago, on 1 March 2025, I had the privilege of delivering a TEDx talk in Lisbon. During this talk, I shared my deep-seated belief: Heritage is fundamental to our identity!

Today, I celebrate this huge challenge and fantastic opportunity.

On 18 February, I participated in the Inner Development Forum, hosted by , which explored the question, 'How can we stand firm in our self-worth?'
I was able to express how our connection to our heritage, roots and legacy is fundamental to building a strong sense of self-worth. Belonging to places, family memories and community references are pillars of a more complete humanity.

On 28 January 2026, the AI4Az project (Artificial Intelligence for the Preservation of Tile Heritage) held a workshop dedicated to the application of artificial intelligence and digital technologies in the preservation of Portuguese tile heritage.
The project focuses on developing innovative tools to document, analyse and monitor the state of conservation of tiles integrated into architecture. These tools use recent AI techniques, high-resolution photogrammetry and hyperspectral imaging to enable the automatic identification and mapping of pathologies.
