Pedrita is a Lisbon-based design studio, and has since 2005 been collaborating with other creative structures, individuals and clients from different parts of the world.

This time, the drawing stays.

Hand drawing is an important step in preparing our tile works: we mark directly onto the surface, with a quick synthetic sketch, the exact position of each tile — then it disappears underneath the panel.

A week in residence at without tiles, with paper and pencil, watercolours and the archive of found photographs we’ve been collecting for years.

María Cristina Masaveu Peterson (1937-2006) fundó esta institución en 2006, fruto de su constante huella vital, del legado histórico familiar y el compromiso firme que mantuvo con la sociedad. Un gesto que permanece intacto cada día en cada uno de los proyectos que se llevan a cabo desde la Fundación para el apoyo de las artes, la cultura, la investigación científica y la formación de las nuevas generaciones.

Fue una mujer de su tiempo, abierta a la modernidad, de espíritu liberal, muy culta y sensible, generosa y comprometida con muchas causas sociales, dotada de una penetrante inteligencia emocional y de profundas convicciones, que desarrolló toda su vida con discreción, sencillez y cercanía a los demás.

Hoy se cumplen 17 años desde su fallecimiento y recordamos su importante labor y compromiso como mecenas del panorama cultural asturiano y español.
