Hidromod will once again sponsor the Prize for the best freshmen of the Degree in Marine Sciences at the . The value of the prize corresponds to the value of the annual tuition fee. Hidromod has sponsored this award since 2018, recognizing its social responsibility towards students and their families.
The existence of good professionals in the field of marine science is essential to meet the needs of the sector. Hence the choice of Hidromod to help attract high potential students to this area.
The process of ranking the best freshmen of the Degree in Marine Sciences, as well as the payment of the scholarship, is the sole responsibility of the University of Aveiro, from which all information about these Scholarships must be requested.

HIDROMOD, as ILIAD digital twin of the ocean project partner, participated in ILIAD’s meeting held in Athens (7-9 June 2022). This was the first physical ILIAD’s Plenary meeting. The implementation of digital twins to support ocean/coastal related operations, management and planning was discussed. The meeting brought together more than 100 representatives of 56 partners from 18 different countries in Europe, the Middle East and North Africa.

We have reached and surpassed numerous business milestones over the years, but we are very proud of this one: in August 2020, HIDROMOD registered its 500th project. When we started HIDROMOD in 1992, the technology landscape was vastly different. Back then, numerical modelling was still mostly a university or large laboratories business. Internet was in its childhood. We got our first email address for the company only in 1995! ...

In the year of COVID, we celebrate another anniversary. On July 1, 1992, the deed of incorporation of Hidromod was made. This year we celebrated on the 24th of June, in the Cadaval area, with a visit to some farms. Ongoing work on crop monitoring based on satellite images is increasing ( As it starts to be a tradition, we take advantage of the party day to leave the office and visit the operations we want to help optimize. It has been a challenging journey, but we think we are prepared for the future!

AQUAFARM 2.0 has started!
