🩺 knok Portugal , a startup that graduated from UPTEC, will manage the São Pedro da Cadeira Family Health Centre in Torres Vedras.

Founded in 2015 by José Bastos and João Magalhães, Knok will provide primary healthcare to more than 5,000 patients under the five-year, €2.4 million contract, building on over 2.5 million clinical interactions facilitated across 12 countries through video consultations, AI-powered triage and remote patient monitoring.

Neuraspace, a startup incubated at 𝗨𝗣𝗧𝗘𝗖, has raised €𝟭𝟱.𝟲 𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗼𝗻 to develop its 𝗔𝗜-𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝘀𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝘀𝘂𝗿𝘃𝗲𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 and 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 🚀

Organisations are not people — that’s true — but they are deeply shaped by those who build them every day.

Some people leave a mark not only through results but also through the way they support, challenge, and help everything around them grow.

Over the past seven years, Maria Oliveira has been one of the pillars of UPTEC. She joined shortly before one of the most demanding moments we faced — the pandemic — and helped turn uncertainty into direction. During this time, she was part of a journey defined by growth, transformation and ambition: a team that expanded, an organisation that strengthened its economic and social impact, reached further — in Portugal and beyond — gained recognition, received awards and celebrated (a lot) its 15th anniversary.

Today marks Maria’s last day as UPTEC’s Business Director — a bittersweet moment, filled with both gratitude and pride.

Maria will continue to be a driving force — bringing not only her leadership, but also her energy and dedication — to innovation in Portugal, now as Vice-President of the Agência para a Investigação e Inovação. We wish her every success in this new chapter.

More than the work accomplished, it is the way she did it that stays with us: with energy, generosity and a genuine commitment to UPTEC. Thank you 🤍
