A rainy day again, so there is time for reflecting, noticing and sharing about the fruits of our never ending work. It is such a privilege to live in a creative flow and work with our hands for the well being of the land and people as well as more beauty around us! We hardly finish one project before the next one is calling us! Many of our guests express being astonished about the beautiful farm and surroundings. We live it every day

Hello everybody! I want to share with you about some amazing things we have been creating this year until now!
We started the year with land clearing (pulling up rock roses by hand ;-) a yearly ongoing activity in the rainy season. My son Jon-Einar was unstoppable on his 2 weeks here!
Much work has been done in the veggie garden due to the abundant rains, as well as endless grass trimming and lawn mowing around the house :-)
The BIG project of this spring was THE GREENHOUSE. A tunnel big enough to shelter even frost sensitive fruit trees as mango, grape fruit, avocado etc. We bought it second hand so the work has been double! First taking it down and transporting (several journeys) from nearly one hours rive. Then preparing ground and taking down the previous tunnel.
Luckily we had an amazing team with Bianca, Carita and Mathias, for one week also my son Justus and his partner Roosa. Without them we could not have made it!
Mathias has been our general hero volunteer this spring! In only 6 weeks he has created so much here that where ever we look we see something that reminds us of him with gratefulness. Not to mention what he already built on his previous visit last summer! He has been the MAN on the greenhouse site, made the goat stable more functional with new beautiful doors of recycled pallet wood for 6 goats, done an amazing lot of grass trimming, repairs, construction, you name it. The last day he built a lovely gate to the flower garden, seen on one of the pictures. We are eternally grateful to him

I learned so much from you in these 3 month: building soil in the flower beds; how to clear the land and allow the wild lavender, young oaks and diversity to grow; caring for, walking and milking the goats (and enjoy their happily contributed milk and cheese - never tasted anything soooo pure and good), building compost, fighting pests without harm for nature; ... and sooo much more...!!

Walks with the goats are very special. I went out with Shanti and some people who wanted to photo and write something about the farm for their studies and it was very inspiring on many levels. We will be making this activity available to people on demand soon. Keep watching this spot.

Welcome to spend a relaxing day at our farm on Saturday 🐐☀️

A RELAXIG FARM DAY AT QUINTA DA CORUJA 🐐

Welcome to a relaxing day at our farm with focus on self-care, softness and to reconnect with nature.

We start the day with a meditative goat walk in nature. Once we come back to the farm we eat a delicious vegetarian lunch together where you get the chance to try some of our local products and of course goat cheese tasting!

After lunch Shanti will guide you through a TRE-session (Tension and Trauma Release Exercises) to support the body in releasing deep muscular patterns of stress, tension and trauma.

We end the day with a soft Yin yoga class guided by Anna, followed by a closing circle to share and round off the day.

12:30 Lunch

14:00 TRE-session with Shanti

15:30 Tea time - Reflecting and sharing

17:00 Yinyoga with Anna

18:30 - 19:00 Closing circle

About Shanti: 

I have always been a seeker walking my own path. The relationship with nature that I have grown up with since the beginning of my life has made me sensitive and intuitive. My natural way of being a healer, teacher and trainer is also very intuitive which I think has served me well when working with both people and animals. I equally enjoy milking my goats, making cheese, gardening and my job as a therapist and ta**ra teacher.

About Anna: 

I’m a nature-loving Swedish woman living the beautiful farm life in Portugal. I always had a curiosity to explore the human mind and body and therefore I’ve deepened my knowledge in yoga, meditation and psychology over the years. The things I appreciate the most about living the farm life is the simple lifestyle, being in close connection with nature and animals and being able to participate in the full circle of growing and producing our own food and products.
