Inga and I have finally found our paradise...Madeira Island of Portugal. The climate, nature, culture and beautiful people offer a rich place to grow up in and live out our dreams. Back in 2008, Inga and I started to work on a project for severely challenged youth in Maui, Hawaii. While it never came to fruition, we continued to explore the world to develop this dream of ours. In 2017, we thought about moving to Brazil to join friends of ours, but after visiting there it just didn't seem right at the time with Uma being so young. Then we came so close to moving to Mallorca in 2020 but then COVID happened. We even had to cancel our airline tickets for our move to Mallorca because of the lockdowns. It just wasn't meant to be. Now in 2021, we have finally found our paradise and in January of 2021, we moved from Germany to Madeira Island (Portugal). Last year was amazing in terms of what we accomplished, particularly in regards to starting a Youth Program! Now in 2022, we are embarking on this dream as we have recently opened up our new Youth Project called Jardim da Cura (Garden of Healing).
Our new Youth Program is for youth ages 10-25. It is not inexpensive...but it is top quality based on expertise, sound programming and passionate staff. There are now direct flights from JFK (New York) to Funchal (Madeira Island) and the Americans are coming here. Please take a moment and reflect on your contacts and see if you have a Youth whom you think would benefit from our program. Length of stay is one month to one year. No insurance is accepted at the moment.
Perhaps you know of an appropriate referral; a uniquely challenged youth who needs help. We have put so much sweat equity, thought and money into this program and we are excited about the possibilities it has with youth. Right now we are working with Germany and Austria, but I would most certainly like to see the UK, Mexico, Spain and America and other countries as well, benefit from our program.
Please IM me or email me and I will send you a flyer with details. I hope all is well with you and life is treating you gently.
With warmest regards,
Bob and Inga
