🌍 A New Chapter!
We are proud to announce the formation of IFLA Middle East’s first Executive Committee, marking an important milestone in strengthening the voice and presence of landscape architecture across the region.
The newly elected Executive Committee includes:
• President: Dr. Nadine Bitar Chahine
• Vice President: Amer Habibullah
• Treasurer: Hala Chmaitelly
This historic step represents a new chapter for IFLA Middle East, reinforcing its commitment to advancing the profession, fostering regional collaboration, and supporting sustainable development initiatives throughout the Middle East.
The new committee also extends its sincere appreciation to Jala Makhzoumi, Acting President of IFLA Middle East, for her years of dedication, perseverance, and unwavering commitment to elevating the profile of landscape architecture in the region. Her leadership has been instrumental in ensuring the continuity and vitality of IFLA Middle East during pivotal times.
This election reflects the growing strength of the landscape architecture profession in the Middle East and underscores IFLA’s mission to promote resilient, sustainable, and culturally responsive landscapes worldwide.
