Wage and hour compliance can feel a little scary — and for good reason. Even organizations with the best intentions can have practices that create risk over time.

The good news? You don’t have to wait for a claim to find out where you stand.
Did you know? A proactive wage and hour audit can help you:
· Identify potential issues before they become claims
· Correct problems and improve practices going forward
· Reduce the risk of costly penalties, back wages, and litigation
· Document the steps you’ve taken to address potential issues

A proactive wage and hour audit goes beyond reviewing policies and checklists. It looks at how those policies are actually working in practice by reviewing a sample of timekeeping, payroll, and pay practices.

Although an audit doesn’t guarantee that a claim won’t happen, what it can do is help you identify and address potential problems before they become bigger ones — and put your organization in a better position to respond if an issue does arise.

This spring has been filled with meaningful conversations, impactful advocacy, and opportunities to connect with incredible leaders and organizations throughout California!

The Lynx team was honored to attend the 2026 CALSHRM Legislative & HR Leadership Summit in Sacramento, where more than 200 HR professionals gathered to exchange ideas, strengthen the future of work, and advocate for the evolving needs of today’s workplaces. One of the most impactful moments was seeing attendees bring the voice of the HR profession directly to Capitol Hill through conversations with legislators and lawmakers about the real-world impact of workplace legislation.

We were also deeply inspired to support YWCA Sonoma County and its mission to provide safety, advocacy, counseling, and hope to individuals and families impacted by domestic violence. Gather Sonoma is another event that represents what communities can accomplish when people come together to uplift and support one another.

We hosted SHRM Northern California's Roundtable Discussion with Lorez Bailey who spoke on “Beyond the Buzzwords: Leading Workplace Culture Through Trust, Communication, and Connection” where she reinforced conversations around leadership, workplace culture, communication and belonging.

With every event and conversation, the Lynx team was inspired to connect with so many people seeking authentic leadership, stronger workplace relationships, and cultures where individuals feel valued and respected.
