Qatar’s leaders’ eyes, engraved in legacy 🇶🇦

Proud to have documented the inspiring exhibition by Reem Al Shamari, celebrating Qatar’s leadership and the values that have guided the nation’s growth for decades with deep respect for heritage and identity.

Through fine art jewelry, the exhibition also honored key pioneers who helped shape Qatar’s cultural and museum landscape, including Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Hamad Al Thani, Director of the National Museum of Qatar, Mohammed Al Rumaihi, CEO of Qatar Museums, Khalifa Al Obaidly, Director of the Fire Station Artist in Residence Program, Shaika Nasser Al Nassr, Director of Museum of Islamic Art, and Zeina Arida, Director of Mathaf Arab Museum of Modern Art, and many more.

A unique highlight of the exhibition was Reem’s innovative process of capturing the eye imprints of these leaders using advanced tools, then engraving them into precious materials to create timeless pieces that reflect lasting impact and appreciation.

Reem blends artistry with innovation as a jewelry designer and the holder of a patent for engraving eye imprints on precious metals. The technology she uses is truly one of a kind and is exclusively available in Qatar, making it a unique asset to Qatar’s fine art jewelry industry.

This documentation came as a collaborative effort driven by genuine belief in Reem’s vision and artistic voice. Wishing you continued success, Reem.

I am proud to share my Palestinian short documentary Gaza’s Rain 🇵🇸

Gaza’s Rain follows a Palestinian nurse who survived the massacre at Al Shifa Hospital in Gaza during the ongoing Israeli genocide.

The film tells the story of Mohammad Mutair, a brave Palestinian nurse who lived through the horrific massacre at Al Shifa Hospital in Gaza. Al Shifa is the main medical compound and the largest hospital in Gaza, and its destruction marked one of the darkest chapters of the ongoing Israeli genocide. After surviving the attack and being evacuated to Qatar, Mohammad finds himself reunited with patients he once treated in Gaza, a reminder of shared suffering and fragile survival.

Haunted by the loss of colleagues who were killed and patients he could not save, he struggles to adapt to life after such profound trauma. Despite displacement and grief, he remains determined to continue his path in nursing. For him, every act of care is both a way to rebuild his own life and a living tribute to Gaza’s medical workers who gave everything to heal others and paid the ultimate price.

The film captures a journey shaped by grief, resilience, and unbroken hope. Each step forward becomes a testament to survival, a refusal to be erased, and a symbol of the enduring strength of those who continue to heal amid devastation and loss.

This film stands as proof of the systematic Israeli genocide that was deliberately designed to destroy the medical system and to target civilian healthcare providers and medical care itself.

Special thanks to the amazing crew who made this project possible with their support.

Gaza’s Patient Heart 🇵🇸

A documentary following a family wounded by Israeli genocide, forced to leave Gaza in search of urgent medical care in Qatar.

Through the mother’s voice, the film takes us into an intimate space of pain, loss, and sacrifice, while also revealing a powerful resilience rooted in love, protection, and the instinct to survive. It shows Palestinians not as statistics or headlines, but as human beings holding on to dignity, memory, and life itself.

This film is about quiet strength. About enduring when everything is taken from you. About hope that refuses to disappear, even in the darkest moments.

Starring Sabreen Al Shareef, who courageously shares her family’s story, the film shows how compassion and sustained care can restore not only bodies, but also hope.

For Palestine, filmmaking is not just art. It is memory, resistance, and truth. It is a way to protect stories from being erased, to humanize suffering, and to remind the world that behind every headline there is a life, a family, and a heartbeat still fighting.

This is one family’s story, but it reflects the lived reality of countless Palestinians. Making this film made me think about the countless Palestinians whose stories were never documented, whose suffering began long before cameras were present, dating back to the start of the Israeli occupation in 1948. I’m deeply grateful to be living in a time where I can document the stories of my people and my homeland, and help ensure that memory, truth, and humanity are not erased.

One year closer to a free Palestine 🇵🇸

A year passes, but the memory does not fade. The hope does not weaken. The belief does not disappear.

Palestine lives in our hearts, in our prayers, in our art, and in our everyday choices. Even when the world moves fast, we choose to pause, remember, and carry Palestine with us in moments of joy, in moments of grief, and in everything in between.

Hope is an act of resistance. Remembering is an act of resistance. Creating, speaking, and refusing to forget are acts of resistance.

May freedom come closer with every year, every voice, and every story told. Until Palestine is free, we keep hope alive.

I was honored to be invited to the premiere of the first Chinese Film Festival in Qatar 🇶🇦🇨🇳

Held at this important initiative aimed to bring Qatari and Chinese cultures closer together. It was especially meaningful, as it helps introduce Chinese culture and its richness to the Arab region through cinema.

I was pleased to meet distinguished Chinese film directors and leaders from the Chinese film industry. Throughout the festival, we engaged in insightful discussions on the importance of cultural exchange and the role of film in building bridges between Qatar and China. I also presented my Chinese informational video series “From Beijing” to the filmmakers, sharing my goal of using social media to authentically showcase the beauty of Chinese culture and challenge stereotypical perceptions of Chinese people in the Arab world.

I was honored to meet Liu Yuxia, Deputy Director of the Office of the National Film Fund of China, and discuss potential future collaborations, as well as the importance and readiness of the Qatari film industry to host and engage with diverse cultures and topics.

I was happy to meet , an award-winning actress and a member of the cast of the film we watched. During our conversation, we discussed the value of joining efforts between the film industries of Qatar and China.

Sincere appreciation to .qa for the warm hospitality and outstanding ex*****on of the event, which was exceptionally well organized, beautifully delivered, and a true reflection of the power of cultural exchange through cinema. Special thanks to the China Film Administration, China Film Archive, and Wisdom House International Cultural Communication Group Co., Ltd. for their kind invitation.

I had the honor of presenting my photography exhibition at the .qa for Good event. It was a meaningful invitation to contribute to raising funds for important causes through art.

The event was made possible in collaboration with inspiring and purpose-driven organizations such as and other like-minded partners who believe in the power of positive impact and social responsibility.

Throughout the event, we had insightful discussions about art and its power to tell stories that truly matter. What I appreciated most was the atmosphere itself. The attendees were genuinely engaged, curious about the narratives behind each artwork, and open to deeper conversations. I truly enjoyed meeting the visitors, sharing the inspiration behind my work, and discussing my creative process with them.

A special thank you to the entire Liwan team for their generous hospitality and continuous support.

Thank you as well to and the other media outlets for the interviews and coverage.

“Qatar: Kaabat Al-Madyoom” reflects the nation’s core values and identity. Meaning “The Sanctuary for Those in Need,” it symbolizes Qatar’s long-standing commitment to protecting those in need.

The origins of this expression are closely linked to H.H. Sheikh Jassim bin Mohammed bin Thani, the founder of the State of Qatar. Beyond being a leader and unifier, he was also a poet deeply committed to protecting others. In his poetry, he used the phrase “Qatar: Kaabat Al-Madyoom” to express the idea of Qatar as a refuge for the oppressed, reflecting a leadership philosophy built on responsibility, dignity, and standing with those in need.

Over time, the phrase became closely associated with Qatar through the actions of its leadership and people, emerging naturally from values practiced across generations, especially in humanitarian efforts.

“Qatar: Kaabat Al-Madyoom represents a nation that chose to be a place of refuge, dialogue, and dignity and continues to live up to that meaning through action

Honored to be invited by to deliver a three day Documentary Photography Workshop focused on visual storytelling and ethical documentation.

I designed this workshop to explore how documentary photography can be practiced using mobile phones as accessible and powerful tools. By removing the technical barriers of professional cameras, participants were able to focus more deeply on storytelling, visual awareness, narrative intent, and responsible documentation of real life moments.

Over the three days, the workshop combined strong theoretical foundations with hands on practical application. Participants engaged in visual analysis, storytelling exercises, field photography assignments, and received detailed individual feedback on the documentary photography projects they developed throughout the workshop.

Grateful to Qatar National Library for the invitation and trust, and proud of the participants for their dedication, curiosity, and the thoughtful visual stories they created during this experience.

I was honored to join Alghad TV for a live interview connecting Doha and Cairo, where I shared my approach to telling Palestinian stories through film and visual media. When asked about the challenges I face, I explained that any obstacle I encounter is minimal compared to what Palestinian storytellers endure under occupation. Their courage is what truly drives me.

Growing up in Qatar has been one of my greatest privileges. I am deeply grateful for the unwavering support I continue to receive from institutions and individuals who believe in the importance of preserving and amplifying Palestinian voices.

My sincere thanks to H.E. Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad Al Thani for her visionary leadership in building a thriving ecosystem that nurtures artists from around the world. Because of this support, I have been able to bring my projects about Palestine to life through organizations such as .qa .qa and many others.

A special thank you to for hosting me, and to the exceptional presenter for the engaging conversation and his thoughtful questions.

I am also incredibly thankful to the many talented creatives who have generously volunteered their time and skills to support my work for Palestine including .darwish .s10 .qat .samaa .m.lopez Hana Abouagina, Dana Jubran, Maram Judia and many others your contributions are the backbone of every project.

Together, we continue telling the stories that must never be silenced.

I’m proud to mark one year at ’s Qatar office as Multimedia Manager, where we recently wrapped up a year-long project for one of the most prominent governmental organizations in Qatar. It has been incredibly meaningful to contribute to the country’s growth and to support the PR and Communications department of such an influential institution.

Being born and raised in Qatar, serving a leading public organization has been both personal and fulfilling. Contributing to Qatar’s development through purposeful storytelling is something I deeply appreciate.

Over the past year, I have led multimedia production across social media, internal communications, and corporate films. I managed and recruited production teams, directed and produced campaigns, oversaw scripting and filming, delivered filmmaking workshops, and continuously enhanced our production workflows to ensure both efficiency and creative excellence.

I’m especially grateful to Gada Ali Amru Elfil and Ghalia Alul for their guidance, trust, and steady support. Their leadership has significantly strengthened my skills in team management, administration, and overall leadership. I still remember our very first conversation about establishing the multimedia department and looking back now, it’s clear that all of our plans and efforts were truly worth it.

Flint Culture is a global communications agency founded in 2009 (15 years strong), working across culture and public engagement with offices in the UK, GCC, and Asia. The agency partners with leading cultural and public institutions to shape impactful narratives rooted in purpose and authentic storytelling.

A special thank you to the entire Flint Culture team I have the honor to work with! I’m excited for everything we will continue to build together.

Stay tuned for more updates about our upcoming projects.

The Flint team is the A-team!
