A significant development has emerged in Italy's retail sector as Coop Alleanza 3.0, a major supermarket chain with 350 stores, has ceased selling Israeli products.
This decision, framed as a symbolic act of solidarity with Palestinians, stems from the cooperative's concern over the ongoing violence in Gaza and the obstruction of humanitarian aid.
The chain has removed items such as Israeli-made peanut and tahini sauces, along with SodaStream products, from its shelves.
In a positive step, Coop Alleanza 3.0 has introduced Gaza Cola, a Palestinian-owned drink, with sales contributing to the reconstruction of al-Karama Hospital in Gaza.
