We are pleased to announce the appointment of Venkat Krishnaswamy as Country Senior Partner of KPMG in Qatar, effective 1 October 2026, as part of our long-term leadership succession plan.

Venkat succeeds Ahmed Abu Sharkh, whose leadership over the past 11 years has helped shape the firm’s growth, market position, and longstanding client relationships. Ahmed will continue with the firm as Head of Advisory and a key member of the leadership team, ensuring continuity as we build on our strong foundations for the future.

With more than 15 years of leadership experience as a Partner at KPMG in Qatar, Venkat brings deep expertise across deal advisory, financial services, and strategic client engagement.

As we embark on this next chapter, our focus remains on investing in our people, strengthening collaboration, embracing innovation, and delivering sustainable growth for our clients and communities across Qatar.
