The Flaris LAR 1is a single-pilot, four-passenger personal jet that was revealed at the 2013 Paris Air Show. Projected then to make its virgin flight in 2015, it was not until this July when flight tests began in Poland, following 2 years of ground tests that were completed in June.

The Flaris LAR 1: World’s Smallest Business Jet

Dubbed the “world’s smallest business jet”, the LAR 1 is developed by Metal-Master, a Polish company that is “firmly based in the modern world, focusing on progress and innovation.” Producing technology used in manufacturing automobile parts since 2000, Metal-Master established Flaris in 2012 as its aircraft brand. The company seeks to serve as an “incubator” for structural and technological solutions through its production os S1-category planes.

CAESARS PALACE BLUEWATERS DUBAI WILL BE THE WORLD’S SECOND CAESARS PALACE HOTEL

Dubai developer Meraas has signed an agreement with US firm Caesars Entertainment Corporation to open its first two luxury hotels in the Middle East at the upcoming $2.1bn Bluewaters Island development.

The deal, which includes a conference centre and beach club, is the hotel operator’s first under a plan to expand into new markets with licencing and management agreements.

Just over 10 years after Dubai acquired it, the Queen Elizabeth 2 (QE2) ocean line – which has been restored as a floating hotel – is set to open.

On April 18, the QE2 will have a soft launch, which will be followed by a more formal opening.

Rooms at the vessel will start at around $163 (AED600), with discounted deals expected in Ramadan, which starts in mid-May.
