Our People, Our Progress | Celebrating Our Team’s Growth and Expertise in Specialized Cleaning

There is a standard for how sensitive environments should be cleaned. Our team has taken another step in mastering it.

Our cleaning team recently completed training in the National Standards of Healthcare Cleanliness 2021, strengthening their knowledge of risk-based cleaning, clear responsibilities, and measurable outcomes.

For our clients, this means greater consistency, stronger compliance readiness, and cleaning practices that support infection prevention.

For our people, it means greater confidence and practical expertise, including knowing how to manage cross-contamination risks, handle chemicals safely, use equipment correctly, and respond to the different demands of every space they work in.

Certificates were presented to recognize the achievement, with our Chief Operating Officer, Koldo Aimar Colorado Larrabe, and Mohamed Boukadida, Learning & Development Lead, joining the team for the occasion.

FMM CEO Eng. Irene Vidal | Highly Commended, FM Executive of the Year Award 2026

We're proud to share that our CEO Eng. Irene Vidal, has been awarded Highly Commended FM Executive of the Year at the Facilities Management Middle East Awards 2026.

Over more than a decade, she has grown FMM from a startup into one of Qatar’s most trusted facilities management companies, with more than 4,600 employees. Entrusted with the FM mandate for some of the country’s most important landmarks and infrastructure, she has raised the industry benchmark through innovation and customer experience.

She has always placed FMM’s people at the heart of her priorities: providing the best welfare conditions, empowering management and strengthening development programs for everyone. She has diversified in different sectors starting with Aviation and moving into Education, Healthcare, Logistics, Civil Infrastructures, or Commercial, between others. She has also led the way in corporate social responsibility among FM companies, supporting the wider community across diverse areas such as education, inclusion, charity and the environment. Most recently, she launched a dedicated sustainability division to help companies in Qatar meet the environmental standards set out in Qatar National Vision 2030.

She is among the most recognized female FM executives in the Middle East. She has also been named Female FM Leader of the Year, and her leadership has been consistently acknowledged in the region’s leading industry and business rankings, including the CBNME FM Power 30 and repeated listings among Qatar’s top CEOs and the Middle East’s top women leaders.

Eng. Irene Vidal sees this milestone as a reflection of the team that works alongside her, and she wishes to express her heartfelt gratitude to each of them. Without everyone’s contribution over the years, FMM would not be the company it is today.

Powering a Greener Qatar

Qatar diverted 45% of its municipal solid waste from landfills in 2025, one of the figures shared at this week's 6th Recycling Towards Sustainability Conference and Exhibition 2026, organized by the Ministry of Municipality.

Our team was there to show how FMM can help the nation go further. Our new Sustainability Services, covering Energy Auditing, Green Building Certifications, GHG Accounting & Carbon Management, and Energy Management, give organizations a practical way to cut energy use and track their carbon emissions.

It was good to be part of the exhibition alongside fellow members of the Chamber of Commerce of Spain in Qatar, and our thanks go to the Ministry of Municipality for bringing the sector together once again.

Hero of the Month | Kenny Raj

Some people become trusted not through words, but through consistency. Kenny Raj is one of them.

Kenny has been with FMM for more than nine years now, working as a Senior Technical Officer, and over that time he has become one of those people the team knows they can lean on. He thinks a few steps ahead, he stays on top of the details and stays calm when the pressure is on.

Kenny's commitment and consistency was evident once again during a recent regulatory review, where his leadership and meticulous approach helped the team achieve a positive result.

True to his leadership style, Kenny shares the success with his team, valuing collaboration, communication, and high standards above all else.

After almost a decade of service, Kenny continues to show that excellence isn't a one-time achievement. It's a habit.
