I want you to read that again slowly. A redirect.

Not a failure. Not a sign you missed your window. A redirect toward something that fits the woman you are now, not the woman you were twenty years ago.

Professional women in midlife bring something to a new chapter that younger women spend years trying to develop.

Clarity about what they will and will not tolerate.

The resilience that only comes from having already lived through the hard things and come out the other side. That is not a liability. That is the whole foundation.

Women building something new after 50 are not starting over. They are starting from experience. There is a significant difference.

This photo has been framed in my bedroom for 9 years.

Not because I look happy in it. But because that was the exact moment everything changed.

I was on safari in Africa. Sipping w**e. Looking fine on the outside.
But on the inside I was asking myself:
What are you going to do with your life?


Something had to change.
I was not at all prepared for what was coming.

I was 50. I needed new purpose. I needed more financial independence before retirement. I needed to reinvent myself for this last stretch.
And honestly? I was sad. I had just ended a relationship and I was lost.

But I took a leap of faith.
I found something I didn’t even know existed.
And it changed everything.

Today I run my own online business mentoring women to do exactly the same- helping them see a potential in themselves they couldn’t see alone.

She introduced me to the piano when I was young. Not to make me a musician.

To give my mind somewhere to go that was higher than what I was living.

She understood something I was too young to put into words. That a busy mind is a mind that survives.

That whether it is music, a walk in nature, a book, or a simple game of cards, the people who sit with you and lift your spirit above your circumstances are doing something profound.

They are not offering comfort. They are offering elevation. And elevation lasts.

I think about that every time I sit with a woman who needs someone to help her see a little higher than where she is standing.
