AHK Romania AHK Romania este reprezentanța oficială a economiei germane în România. With its over 600 members it is the largest bilateral economic association in Romania.

A fost înfiinţată în septembrie 2002 și numără peste 700 de companii membre, fiind cea mai mare organizație de business din România. The German-Romanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (AHK Romania) was established in September 2002. AHK Romania is the official representative of the German economy in Romania and plays a key role in fostering the German-Romanian economic relations. As a professional service provider, the AHK Romania offers a wide spectrum of services in supporting German companies to enter the Romanian market and to establish new branches in Romania. The AHK Romania sees itself also as a partner for Romanian companies interested in the German market.

🇷🇴🤝🇩🇪 New connections, shared expertise and concrete opportunities for cooperation: Baden-Württemberg meets Romania.
From smart building technology and industrial development to construction and dual vocational education, a three-day delegation programme in and brought companies from Baden-Württemberg this week closer to Romania’s business ecosystem and opened new conversations with potential Romanian partners.

More than 40 participants joined the delegation, including representatives of the Ministerium für Wirtschaft, Arbeit und Tourismus Baden-Württemberg, presidents and representatives of the Baden-Württemberg Chambers of Skilled Crafts, as well as representatives of participating companies. This strong mix of policymakers, business organisations and companies created an excellent setting for exchanging perspectives and identifying concrete opportunities for German-Romanian cooperation.

Led by Minister Dr. Nicole Hoffmeister-Kraut, and Rainer Reichhold, President of Handwerk BW, the programme combined business exchange with first-hand insights into technology, industrial development, construction and vocational education.
🤝 A key highlight was the B2B matchmaking programme organised by AHK Romania for the 8 participating companies. More than 30 individual business meetings with potential Romanian partners provided opportunities to discuss concrete areas of cooperation, exchange expertise and lay the groundwork for new business relationships. The strong engagement on both sides demonstrated the potential for closer cooperation between companies from Baden-Württemberg and Romania.
🔹 At Lisscom Brasov, the delegation explored smart building technologies and automation solutions, with a focus on how digitalisation can support energy efficiency, sustainability and operational performance.
🔹 At ICCO Industrial Park, participants experienced first-hand the strong industrial base of the Brașov region and its potential for further investment and business cooperation.
🔹 The visit to the ONE UNITED PROPERTIES construction site in Bucharest gave participants a first-hand look at the transformation of the former Ford factory. The visit showcased how heritage preservation can be successfully combined with modern construction and urban redevelopment.
🔹 At Deutsche Berufsschule Kronstadt, participants learned how Romania’s dual education system helps develop the skilled workforce of the future
🔹 A visit to the iconic Peleș Castle in Sinaia added a special historical dimension to the programme.

Organised by AHK Romania in partnership with Handwerk International Baden-Württemberg, the delegation reflects what German-Romanian economic cooperation is all about: connecting companies, exchanging practical expertise and turning dialogue into long-term partnerships. 🇩🇪🇷🇴

🚀 𝐏𝐚𝐧𝐞𝐥 2 – 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤 continued the journey inside organisations: lifelong learning, reskilling & upskilling, leadership and talent development, wellbeing and organisational performance.
Because education doesn’t stop when school ends.
Learning is one continuous journey, and making it work requires all of us: schools, companies, public institutions, educators and individuals.
