In 2024, 49.8% of households with children in the EU had 1 child, 37.6% had 2 children, and 12.6% had 3 or more children.

🔹 The highest shares of households with children ranged from 18.0% in 🇫🇮Finland to 35.6% in 🇸🇰Slovakia.

🔸 Households with 3 children or more were the least common across all EU countries. Their percentage among all households with children ranged from 6.2% in 🇵🇹Portugal to 20.6% in 🇮🇪Ireland.
