From analysing chest CT scans to interpreting the entire thorax, abdomen and pelvis examination: our alumnus Rayscape is moving into a new stage of AI-assisted oncology imaging. 🩻

Rayscape TAP-CT will be developed through a 36-month project worth 10.62 million lei, including 7.67 million lei in non-reimbursable European funding under the Health Programme 2021–2027. The financing contract was signed with Ministerul Investițiilor și Proiectelor Europene through a company within the same group as Rayscape.

The team plans to develop a 3D model capable of detecting and tracking oncological lesions across the complete examination, then validate and deploy it in real clinical settings. For radiologists, the aim is to bring more relevant information from a complex CT scan into one integrated view, supporting diagnosis and patient monitoring.

Romanian semiconductor technology made its way to Suwon, South Korea, where AMSIMCEL showcased https://HyperPV.com at the Advanced Semiconductor Packaging & Chiplet Show 2026. The event brought together more than 150 companies, including Samsung Electronics and SK hynix. 🇰🇷

HyperPV develops GPU-accelerated physical verification solutions for increasingly complex chiplet-based, 2.5D and 3D integrated circuits.

During the event, CEO Catalin Tugui also spoke at the KPIA Seminar about the industry’s shift from chip-level verification towards system-level sign-off for heterogeneous integrated systems.

Our relationship with AMSIMCEL began in 2019, when Techcelerator invested in the team through the Accelerator. We worked together again during the 2022 Investment Readiness programme, supporting the company’s EIC Accelerator application.

Good to see our presenting Romanian deep-tech alongside major international semiconductor companies. 🔬

Less than a year separates a €6,500 contract from contracts worth €1.1 million for DesignVerse.ai. That kind of growth deserves a closer look. 📈

Our alumnus builds AI software for large organizations with complex infrastructure, where generated code must fit existing systems and meet strict reliability and data-security requirements. DesignVerse does this by giving its models access to each client’s technical documentation, component libraries and internal standards.

This September, the Romanian Community Summit brings Romanians from around the world together in Chicago to strengthen the connections between Romania and its global diaspora.

Unitree’s shares rose by as much as 629% during the company’s Shanghai market debut. Investor demand exceeded the available retail allocation more than 5,500 times. 🤖

The strategic investors participating in the listing include DeepSeek and investment vehicles connected to major Chinese state companies. Unitree plans to use DeepSeek’s expertise in developing its robots, while the state companies are expected to test them in oil fields, refineries and energy systems.

These tests come while humanoid robotics still faces major technical problems. Current robots can perform specific tasks, but reliability, dexterity and autonomous action remain difficult to achieve consistently.

For founders working in robotics, autonomous systems and advanced manufacturing, Unitree is a useful case of how technical development can be connected to capital and testing in industrial environments.

From Romania to Japan, dotLumen - Empowering the Blind is taking its technology into a market where accessibility, product quality and trust carry very high expectations.
Together with Toyota Mobility Foundation, the team is testing the dotLumen Glasses in Japanese environments, working with local users and preparing the technology to support tens of thousands of visually impaired people in the country.

For a team we have followed closely over the years, this is a particularly rewarding development to see. It also gives the Romanian tech ecosystem something concrete to point to: technology developed in Cluj, solving a global problem and earning the opportunity to prove itself on international markets. 🇷🇴

Synaptiq.io has officially begun a new stage of development: a 24-month EIC Pre-Accelerator project! 🩺

Through Mediq Index, the team will develop a hospital-based clinical AI assistant that brings together fragmented patient information, generates accurate summaries and helps clinicians retrieve the context they need more quickly.

We first worked with Synaptiq.io through Advancing AI SEE in 2021, when the team also received investment-readiness support from Techcelerator and went on to win Investors Days.
We are proud to have collaborated with such a remarkable team at an earlier stage of its development and even prouder to see the ambition and rigour with which it continues to build!

We officially kicked off our 24-month journey under the EIC Pre-Accelerator (Horizon Europe).⁠⁠⁠⁠

This year we grew a lot, we've consolidated our position in the radiotherapy market with our AI contouring software, and this project lets us push further, staying true to our mission of saving time to save lives. ⏱️❤️

Over the next two years, we'll be building our next stepping stone alongside our contouring software: Mediq Index, an AI assistant that gives clinicians the full picture of their patients, instantly. More on that soon. 👀

Being part of the EIC Community was a goal from the very start of our journey, and we got here with the support of our long-term partners at Iceberg Plus, who continue to stand beside us in obtaining and managing European grants. 🤝

And we're not stopping here: our sights are set on the EIC Accelerator next. We look forward to sharing our progress along the way.
