This weekend was busy for a lot of our outdoorsy colleagues. Some chose the bucharest_marathon running for unitedway_romania, others chose a hike in tinutulstejarilor. But they all had a blast.

A new job can be a lot when you’re just starting. Many onboarding sessions, getting to know your role. But this new beginning is also about meeting the people you’ll work with, learning what they stand for, and finding your place in the team.

Throwback to our All firm event two weeks ago. We're still reflecting on the inspirational talks we had in front of over 1000 people.

What remains relevant when everything else is taken away?

Author Marius Balo shared a deeply moving personal story through his talk,"Humanity, Meaning and Community."

Drawing from the experiences that inspired his book "Păturica Roz/ The pink blanket", he reminded us that resilience, hope, human connection and a sense of purpose are often revealed most clearly during life's most difficult moments.

His story was a powerful reflection on the things that technology can never replace: our ability to find meaning, support one another and remain connected to our humanity. While the world around us constantly changes, our need for belonging, purpose and community remains timeless.

Here’s to another fresh start for a new group of joiners!

We welcomed them together with our Leadership Team – Ramona Jurubita Country Managing Partner, Mădălina Racovițan, Head of Tax & Legal, Tudor Grecu, Head of Advisory, Irina Rubeli, Audit Partner and Cătălina Chelaru, Director in Audit Delivery Academy, as well as the recruitment team who helped bring them on board.

There are moments that don’t happen often. Moments when you get the chance to step away from the usual pace, share an experience with clients, alumni, friends, and simply be present. This is fjordthefilm , the latest film by acclaimed Romanian filmmaker, Cristian Mungiu, who won his second Palme d'Or at the 79th Festival de Cannes this year. KPMG in Romania & Moldova was pleased to host a special private screening of Fjord recently. The evening began with a welcome cocktail and opening addresses from Ramona Jurubita , René Schöb and Cristian Mungiu, setting the stage for an event that exceeded expectations.

KPMG in Romania & Moldova is pleased to support Romanian culture and to create moments that inspire meaningful conversations, strengthen connections, and celebrate brilliant creative talent. fjordthefilm is Romania's Official Submission for Best International Feature Film for the 99th Oscars®, and it stands as a powerful cultural ambassador, bringing Romanian storytelling and creativity to the world stage.

Beyond the film itself, the evening was also an opportunity to celebrate the people who shape our success. Bringing over 400 clients, partners and friends together to recognize success, the event reflected the values that define us: excellence, leadership, and a commitment to continuous growth.

Fjord aims to be the national project for Romania, which we are honored to play our part in. We would like to thank our clients for attending this event and we encourage the business community to continue to promote and support Romanian talent.

Why do so many capable people still feel they're not enough? This was one of the questions explored by psychologist Psiholog Dr. Raluca Anton during her session ,"Impostor Syndrome in a World That Never Stops Comparing", part of our All Firm event.

In a world shaped by constant comparison, achievement and increasingly high expectations, the conversation invited us to reflect on self-doubt, perfectionism, identity and authenticity.

Her message was a timely reminder that confidence does not come from having all the answers, but from learning to move forward despite uncertainty.

Perhaps the most important takeaway was that growth begins when we stop measuring ourselves against others and start building a healthier relationship with our own expectations.

Thank you, Raluca Anton, for an insightful conversation that resonated with many of us.
