I’m Anca Ionescu and I teach entrepreneurs (mainly members of NGOs) how to write successful projects for EU funding. In 2012 I wrote my first project with EU funds. I had no experience in writing projects before and I had no legal status as an NGO or company. We were an informal group of young people that were passionate about argentine tango and we wanted to teach high school pupils how to change
their lives with non-formal education through argentine tango. I searched on the internet about specific funding for people like us and I found a program specially designed for that - Youth in Action - now this program has changed its name in Erasmus+. We had nothing to lose, I was working full-time in a multinational company and so did my husband. Our enthusiasm was very high when we saw that the project was approved! This first project was about to change my life forever, as I quit my full-time job and had more time to spend with my husband and my little baby, doing what I loved most: writing. During the implementation of our first project, I created my own NGO (http://tangoact.ro/) in 2012 and my own company in 2013. In only 4 years I wrote more than 30 applications for funding, and got 20 funded for our NGO and other funding for different NGOs and companies in the domain of Sport, Culture, Education, Environment, IT and Health. I always believed that when you do what you like, what you are passionate about, is impossible not to be successful. The best part is that nowadays there are grants and funds for every domain I can think of, and I certainly recommend you to follow your passion and your dream and to put your ideas into practice right now! At the beginning I thought that writing projects is a very hard thing to do, as you have to read a lot of documentation, that the process is very hard and the bureaucracy is high. But if you know how to read an applicant's guide and how to write your project fast, you will discover that, in fact, the time invested is very limited and that the satisfaction obtained out of an approved and implemented project worths this effort. As in the last 4 years I became a Trainer, Project Manager, Expert in European Funds, European Funds Evaluator, I want to share with you ideas, information and a collection of my approved and non-approved projects that can help you in writing your own project.
