What happens when a leadership team takes the time to pause, reflect, and intentionally strengthen the way they work together?

That was the focus of our recent Leadership Team Relaunch with Wirquin Romania, part of an international group with a strong presence across Europe.

Along two interactive days, the team explored practical, science-based tools from 6 Team Conditions, reflected on real business challenges, and worked together on one of our favorite exercises: creating their own team user manuals: a simple but powerful way to build more clarity around how each person works, communicates and collaborates best.

One thing that mattered a lot was that Costia (CEO of Romania) had a strong support and involvement throughout the journey. That kind of presence sends a strong message about trust, alignment, and the importance of investing in team effectiveness together.

The conversations were open, thoughtful and practical, from team norms and shared purpose to concrete ways of improving collaboration and supporting performance in day-to-day work.

We especially appreciated the openness, involvement, and engagement of the entire Wirquin Romania team throughout the experience. The willingness to reflect together, challenge perspectives, and invest intentionally in stronger collaboration made these two days truly meaningful.

Emotions are already present in every team and they drive far more of our decisions than we sometimes realize. The question is: how consciously do we work with them?

This month, our colleague Ioana joined the first Emotional Culture Deck / Emotional Leadership certification in Romania - a valuable learning experience around emotional culture, leadership and creating more human workplaces.

A big thank you goes to Mesesan for welcoming us with so much openness and warmth, and for generously sharing her valuable experience, insights and practical tools throughout the day. It was both grounding and inspiring! And to Dean for trusting in this initiative in Romania :)

We left with meaningful conversations, useful canvas ready to apply in our work and a few new friends who share the same passion for learning!

Ever noticed what happens under pressure?

Sometimes, we bottle our emotions and keep moving. This leads to emotional leakage, having unexpected strong reactions in different contexts

Other times, we brood and get lost in overthinking. This leads to emotional drowning, and can be contageous for the ones around us.

Different reactions, same result: we get hooked - stuck in thoughts, emotions, and patterns that quietly limit our clarity, relationships, and performance.

The good news? These patterns can be noticed, understood, and changed.

We are very proud for co-hosting the last 6 Team Conditions Community of Practice together with Ruth Wageman and Krister Lowe, PhD.!

What we appreciate most is that this was not just a theoretical conversation. Simona Caranda Gorj shared concrete work from Indive around Executive Team Coaching and Leadership Journeys, including a case where the Team Diagnostic Survey showed significant improvement between t0 and t1, despite the challenge of having only a limited number of training sessions.

That is the kind of work worth talking about: evidence-based, applied, and focused on real team effectiveness!
