🤔 What does it cost when a project isn’t properly coordinated? And how much can mistakes during implementation add to the final bill?

These were some of the questions Adrian Pantazica, Business Unit Manager at COS Iași, addressed at Design Day Iași on Saturday.

The discussion focused on what happens when a design moves into implementation: how poor coordination can drive up costs, which decisions can lead to mistakes on site, and how designers, clients and contractors can work together to avoid them.

🏆 We’re happy to share that our work with The Access Group in Timișoara has received the 𝐁𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐫 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝 at the Romania Property Awards!

For this project, we wanted to create a workplace that feels different from the typical corporate office. Spread across three floors, each with its own character, the space brings together colour, textures and thoughtful layouts to create a more varied experience throughout the day.

We’re proud to see our work recognised this way, and we’d like to thank The Access Group for trusting us with this project. 👏

💻 When someone needs privacy for an online meeting or an important call, a whole meeting room can end up being occupied by one person for an hour. Meanwhile, a team that actually needs it has to look elsewhere.

Be my guest® by Orangebox is a solo pod designed to create a private space for calls and online meetings, with acoustic felt walls and a laminated acoustic glass door. This keeps the larger rooms free for group discussions, while calls and online conversations have a dedicated place of their own.

The same flexibility continues when the workplace changes. The pod can be moved around the office when the layout changes and, if the company moves to a new headquarters, it can be relocated there too.

What happens when AI meets craftsmanship in interior design?

That’s the conversation we’re having today at Design Brunch Lab, in partnership with Interface, at Stables, in Cluj-Napoca.

Together with Marta (Siczek) Zachewicz, Concept Designer at Interface, we’re exploring how AI can support, challenge and expand traditional design approaches and what happens when technology and human creativity work together.

We’re also taking a closer look at Interface’s latest collections, Surface Matters, Cut & Form and nora ed extension, before continuing the conversation over brunch and networking.

And in the end, the question we leave with isn’t whether AI will change design, but how we choose to work with it.

👀 When we talk about “flexible offices”, we talk about this:

The entrance area at Arcadis is designed as a day-to-day place to focus, have an informal meeting, take a break or welcome a client, away from the open space. Then, when a townhall or training is on the agenda, the setup changes in two minutes. The furniture can be easily rearranged in different configurations to unlock more space, and the pieces that are not in use can be folded, stacked and neatly stored in a designated storage zone. ✅

Another edition of DevTalks Cluj-Napoca brought together the tech community for a day of talks, ideas and connections.

📚 A new academic year is just around the corner, and soon enough, classrooms, lecture halls, libraries and campus spaces will be busy again.

It’s also a good moment to look at the work we do in education and the different spaces we help bring together. Our projects range from nurseries and kindergartens to schools and universities, with each type of space serving a different purpose. And as investment in education continues to shape these environments, the spaces themselves become an important part of the experience.

✔️ Take a university campus, for example. A lecture room needs to support a full class and make teaching easier. A library needs quiet corners for studying, but also places where students can work together. And then there are the lounge areas, spaces to sit, catch up with friends or take a short break between classes.

We had the opportunity to work on some of these spaces at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration at Babeș-Bolyai University, where we supplied standard furniture for several lecture rooms, the library and lounge areas.

Now, as the new academic year gets closer, we’re looking forward to seeing these spaces doing what they were made for: welcoming people, supporting learning and becoming part of everyday campus life again. 👨‍🎓

🎉 This month, our colleague Bogdan Cornea, Bogy to all of us, celebrates 28 years at COS. Over almost three decades, he has seen the company grow, change and take on new challenges, while remaining a familiar face and a steady part of our team.

Today, as our Sales Support Manager, Bogy is still here for the same reasons that made COS feel like the right place all those years ago: the people, the values we share and the feeling of belonging.

💭 As he puts it: “For all my years at COS, I’ve always had a strong feeling that I belong here, that this is the right place for me.”

28 years is a long time. We’re grateful that so much of that time has been spent together. Happy anniversary, Bogy! ❤️
