Many children stop trying not because they lack talent, but because they are afraid of making mistakes.
Afraid of losing the ball.
Afraid of being criticized.
Afraid of disappointing the coach, their parents or their teammates.
But football is a game of decisions. And every decision carries the possibility of a mistake.
The players who develop the fastest are not always the most talented. They are often the ones who feel free enough to try, fail, learn and try again.
The question is not whether children will make mistakes.
The question is: Do we create an environment where they are brave enough to make them?
Because confidence grows when mistakes are accepted as part of learning, not punished as failure.
