A tourist invitation is an official document that is required to obtain a tourist visa to Russia. On its basis a tourist visa is issued for a period up to 30 days.

The fact that a foreigner has a tourist invitation, consisting of a voucher and a confirmation of the tourist's acceptance, confirms that he has acquired the right to receive tourist services. This means that the company that issued the tourist invitation assumes responsibility for the stay of a foreigner on the territory of the Russian Federation who entered on a visa received on the basis of this invitation.
