The loudspeaker reeler is similar by design to the microphone reeler and provides the same control functions. The system works with a specially-designed cable combining a shielded conductor pair (22 AWG) for the audio signal, an unshielded power feed pair (18 AWG), and a Kevlar core to ensure cable integrity. The maximum load of the cable is 10 kg. The use of the cable complies with all major safety standards. The speaker reeler is available in two modifications: with 16 m and 25 m cable lengths. Other cable lengths are available on request.

Microphone reelers provide precise vertical positioning of microphones in theaters, auditoriums, studios, concert and conference halls, and other environments that require a quick vertical microphone or loudspeaker repositioning. Possible applications include sound recording, TV productions, and microphones repositioning as a part of a dynamically reconfigurable acoustics system.

The microphone reeler is available in two modifications: with 16 m and 25 m cable lengths. Other cable lengths are available on request. A professional Starquad microphone cable provides a very high EMI and RFI noise immunity and makes it possible to use the microphone reelers in the most unfavorable electromagnetic conditions, for example in the proximity of lighting equipment. The cable outer diameter may be specified at the point of order.

For safety purposes, the user can limit the maximum deployment length of the cable that corresponds to the lowest operational position of a microphone. Standard mounting options include grips for fixing the reeler on a 50-60 mm pipe and fixtures to install the reeler on a stage grid. Other fixtures are available on request.

Question: Why should we use a Stabilized Head over a standard Remote Head?

Answer: One of the main reasons to use a Stabilized Head is the stability and thus improved image quality that you get while the camera is in motion. Our gyro-stabilized heads ensure great image stabilization during dynamic movements, rapid accelerations, and complex maneuvers.

Question: What kind of applications are best suited for the different Stabilized Head models?

Answer:
- The RXS head is normally used in combination with polecams and robotic
polecams in different sports, ceremonies and shows where an absolute minimum footprint is necessary;
- The RS head is used with lightweight cranes – in places where a full-sized crane is not advisable. Often it's rigged on balconies or roofs for concerts and shows;
- The RL head is used with larger cranes and towercams. Because it's weatherproof, this combination is a perfect solution for outdoor usage even in extreme weather conditions.

Question: Which type of cameras can be used on the different Stabilized Head models?

Answer:
- The RXS is designed to use micro and mini cameras like Antelope Pico and Dreamchip Atom One;
- The RS is designed to be used with camcorders, and a whole range of smaller cameras that use the broadcast standard B4 mount studio lenses;
- The RL is designed to carry all major studio cameras and digital film cameras, with a payload up to 15kg (33lbs).

Question: Can the Robyheads be used overslung and underslung?

Answer: RXS is designed to be used underslung while the RS and RL can be used either way. Commonly the RS is used overslung on a trackcam, while the RL is overslung on a towercam.

Question: Are all the systems designed for direct single control use, or it is possible to control multiple heads from one controller?

Answer: Normally our gyro-heads are used with direct single control for live production. However, for our robotic polecam solution with the RXS head we use a modified panel that allows to control two heads by single operator. This single operator solution can be applied to our other systems if requested.
