On 21-23 October 2024, the 2nd International Air Law Moot Court Competition, established by AEROHELP Institute and organized in close cooperation with the College of Law at the University of Sharjah, which acted as the hoster of this event, was successfully held. The Winner of the competition was MGIMO University, the Second place was taken by the University of Sharjah, and the Third place was shared by Kutafin Moscow State Law University and the Belarus State University. Ilya Shamshur (team member of the Belarus State University) was recognized as the Best Oralist, and Komron Tursunmurodov (team member of the Tashkent State Law University) was recognized as the second Best Oralist. The Organizing Team congratulate all the participants and hope to see you next year at the 3rd edition of this wonderful event!

The organisers of the Conference are the National Air Law Association and the Institute of Air and Space Law AEROHELP. The working languages of the Conference are Russian and English, simultaneous translation is provided.

On May 17, 2024, during the JARUS Plenary Meeting 2024/1 in Astana was signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to promote the mutual academic cooperation between the School of Global Governance (SGG) at Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT) and the Institute of Air and Space Law AEROHELP as partners in the field of joint symposiums, seminars, publications and exchange of data relating to Air & Space Law. The MoU was initiated on October 6, 2023, during the 12th Air Law Conference in Moscow, fully discussed and duly agreed between the representatives of the two parties - Executive Chair of the SGG at BIT, Professor Lui Hao and Director of the AEROHELP Institute Oleg Aksamentov.

On May 16, 2024, the Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan hosted a seminar on current issues in international air law, organized with the support of the AEROHELP Institute of Air and Space Law. Oleg Aksamentov, the Director of the Institute, delivered a presentation.
The seminar was attended by the leadership of the AAK, employees of the AAK Legal Department, the ICAO SARPs harmonization division of the Department of Safety Management, Quality, Strategy and Standards Compliance of the AAK, specialists in aviation standards of the AAK structural divisions.
The seminar addressed issues related to the enforcement of the Convention on International Civil Aviation, the implementation of ICAO standards and recommended practices, and other relevant topics.
Participants had the opportunity to refresh their knowledge in the field of aviation law, engage in fruitful discussions, and exchange opinions on current issues. / 16 мая 2024 года в Авиационной администрации Казахстана состоялся семинар по актуальным вопросам международного воздушного права, организованный при поддержке Института воздушного и космического права AEROHELP. С сообщением выступил директор Института Олег Аксаментов.
В семинаре приняли участие руководство ААК, сотрудники Юридического департамента ААК, Управления по авиационному законодательству Департамента управления безопасностью полетов, качества, стратегии и соответствия стандартам ААК, специалисты по авиационным стандартам структурных подразделений ААК.
На семинаре были рассмотрены проблемы правоприменения Конвенции о международной гражданской авиации, внедрения стандартов и рекомендуемой практики ИКАО и другие актуальные вопросы.
Участники семинара получили возможность освежить свои знания в области авиационной юриспруденции, плодотворно пообщаться и обменяться мнениями по актуальным вопросам.

The first edition of the International Air Law Moot Court Competition was successfully held in Moscow, October 3-5, 2023. This event was organised in closed collaboration between the Institute of Air and Space Law AEROHELP and Lomonosov Moscow State University. There are 13 Teams from 7 countries took participation in the Competition. The First place was shared between the University of Sharjah and the MGIMO University, on the Second place - Kutafin Moscow State Law University, and, Umma University from Kenya took the Third place. As well, under the Judges decision, the Best Oralist prize received Eston Mwangi from Umma University Team. The Best Memorial for Applicant and the Best Memorial for Respondent were respectively recognised for MGIMO University and Kutafin Moscow State Law University. The Organizing Party thanks all participants and wish success in continue developing in International Air Law studying!

The Institute of Air and Space Law AEROHELP is happy to announce that the First edition of the International Air Law Moot Court Competition, which will be held in Moscow from October 2 to October 5, 2023 in full-time format. The co-organizer of the competition this year is the Lomonosov Moscow State University (Law Faculty), who kindly agreed to provide the necessary halls and auditoriums for the planned events. The Moot Court will be opened by the Pre-Moot Conference on October 2, and on October 3-5, Preliminary Rounds, Semi-final Rounds and Final Round of the International Air Law Moot Court Competition will be held. The International Air Law Moot Court is a unique opportunity for students seeking to gain experience in developing arguments in the field of international law and international air law, as well as networking around the world.
We invite interested Universities from different countries to send a team to participate in the competition!

On April 7, at the next meeting of the Air Law Students Club, the director of the AEROHELP Institute, Oleg Aksamentov, will give a lecture on the topic "Reform of control (supervisory) and licensing activities in the field of aviation." We will learn about the legal fundamentals and goals for implementing the "regulatory guillotine" mechanism. Consider the concept, as well as the procedure and principles for establishing and evaluating the application of mandatory requirements. Will clarify the legal nature of acts of the Soviet period, as well as acts that do not comply with the current regulation on mandatory requirements in the Russian Federation, and other issues. / Дорогие друзья! 7 апреля на очередном заседании Кружка воздушного права директор Института AEROHELP Олег Аксаментов выступит с лекцией на тему "Реформа контрольной (надзорной) и разрешительной деятельности в области авиации". Dear friends, we are announcing the second call before we hear a report on the training of aviation personnel in Russia. We will see which specialists belong to the aviation personnel of civil aviation, what qualification requirements are imposed on such specialists, where it is necessary to study in order to acquire theoretical knowledge, as well as the skills necessary and sufficient to confirm their qualifications in the authorized body in the civil aviation and obtain an aviation personnel specialist license. Of course, we will analyze the system of law fundamentals - the legal acts of the Russian Federation that regulate relations related to the training of aviation personnel, and see how the current legal regulation complies with ICAO Standards and Recommended Practices. For more effective communication, do not forget to look through Annex 1 to the Chicago Convention, as well as Chapter VII of the Air Code of the Russian Federation before the meeting.
