Your future self called. They said stop scrolling and apply.

Future Makers Kigali is a six-month programme for young people aged 18–22 who are ready to do more than just talk about big ideas.

You’ll learn practical digital skills, content creation, design thinking, entrepreneurship, and how to turn a real problem into a solution people can actually use. You’ll work in a team, take part in a hackathon, receive mentorship, access a workspace, and get the chance to pitch your idea for funding.

Basically, you bring the ambition. We help you build the skills, the idea, and the confidence to do something with it.

Not 18–22? The transmission still reached the right person. Share it with that ambitious friend or relative whose future is waiting.

Future you travelled all this way. The least you can do is apply.

Alexandra Gatare, what a time it has been 💙

It is hard to put into words what your leadership has meant to Westerwelle Startup Haus Kigali and to all of us who have had the privilege of working with you.

More than 4 years ago, you joined as the Community & Marketing Coordinator, bringing your fresh ideas and sharp ability to make stuff happen.

Since then, the titles changed to Manager and Country Director, while you kept on delivering results and improving systems in your calm and confident manner.

Thank you for every opportunity you created, every lesson you shared, every problem you helped solve, and every time you showed up for the team and the wider community.

The Haus will not feel the same without you, and honestly, neither will the group chats.

We are sad to see you go, but incredibly proud of everything you have accomplished and excited to see what your next chapter brings.

Wishing you nothing but the very best.

Success stories are getting boring, so we decided to switch things up.

On Wednesday, we hosted F-Up Night, an evening dedicated entirely to the F**k-Ups people usually leave out of their success stories.

Thank you to everyone who showed up and shared their failures with us. Some of your stories genuinely shocked us. At several points, we were less focused on finding a lesson and more concerned about how you even survived.😆

But that honesty is exactly what made the night special. Thank you for being vulnerable and brave enough to share the parts people usually leave out. You reminded us that failure is not always the end of the story. Sometimes, it is just the funniest chapter.💙

This was our twist on the usual success story, and judging by the stories in that room, it definitely deserves a part two.
