Hack Cinnamon
Roll Bites π€€π₯
Effortless baking hack! By utilizing standard sandwich bread, you skip hours of proofing dough while still capturing the ultra-gooey, decadent center of a classic cinnamon roll.
Ingredients You Will Need
β’ White Sandwich Bread (a standard loaf)
β’ Cream Cheese (softened at room temperature)
β’ Butter (melted or softened to coat the pan)
β’ Ground Cinnamon Powder
β’ Sweetened Condensed Milk
β’ Nutella (or any chocolate-hazelnut spread)
π©βπ³ Step-by-Step Procedure
Step 1: Prep Your Oven and Pan
Preheat your oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C). Take your Pyrex baking dish and generously coat the bottom and sides with butter to prevent sticking.
Step 2: Build the Cream Cheese Sandwiches
Lay out your slices of sandwich bread. Spread a generous, even layer of softened cream cheese onto one slice of bread, then top it with another slice to make a sandwich.
Step 3: Cut into "Bites"
Using a sharp or serrated knife, cut the cream cheese sandwiches into small, bite-sized squares (roughly 4 to 6 squares per sandwich).
Step 4: Layer in the Pyrex
Arrange the sandwich bites tightly next to each other in your buttered Pyrex dish so they stay soft and moist in the center while baking.
Step 5: Dust and Drizzle
β’ Generously dust the top of the bread bites with cinnamon powder until they are well covered.
β’ Pour the sweetened condensed milk evenly over the entire dish, ensuring it seeps into the cracks between the bread bites.
Step 6: Bake to Perfection
Place the Pyrex in the preheated oven and bake for 15 to 20 minutes until the top is golden brown and the edges are bubbling.
Step 7: The Nutella Finish & Serve
Remove the dish from the oven. While it is still hot, take a generous amount of Nutella and drizzle it all over the top.
β’ Chef's Tip: You can warm the Nutella in the microwave for 10β15 seconds beforehand so it becomes runny and easy to drizzle.
Let it cool for about 5 minutes so the Nutella sets slightly, then serve warm straight from the Pyrex!
