🚨 UAE Businesses: Big change to Input VAT claims from 1st October 2026!

Until now, a valid Tax Invoice was mostly enough. Not anymore.

From October 1st, you'll need to verify your supplier and the transaction itself — their business activity, whether it matches the supply, and whether payment/pricing details are properly documented.

Key thresholds to know:
✅ Purchases above AED 375,000 → supplier bank details must be verified
✅ Supplies below AED 10,000 → lighter verification, unless annual purchases from that supplier cross AED 100,000

Bottom line: your supplier database needs to be accurate and up to date, starting now.

The goal? Cut down tax evasion and tighten VAT compliance across the board.

📢 ATTENTION: Businesses in Saudi Arabia registered for VAT in 2025 or earlier — this update is for you.

As part of ZATCA's E-Invoicing Regulations, Phase 2 Implementation requires businesses to integrate their E-Invoicing software with the Fatoora Portal. Many businesses have already complied with this requirement, but here's what you need to know if you haven't yet.

🔹 The original basis: Companies that crossed a revenue threshold of SAR 375,000 during the 2022-2024 financial years were mandated to complete Phase 2 integration.

🔹 What's new: 2025 financial year has now been added to this wave.

🔹 The updated threshold: Companies crossing SAR 187,500 in revenue must complete Phase 2 integration by 1st February 2027.

If your business falls under this new threshold, here's what you need to do:

✅ Check your registered contact details (email, phone, portal) to see if ZATCA has already reached out to you regarding this requirement.

✅ If you haven't received any communication yet, don't assume you're exempt. Reach out to ZATCA directly and confirm whether integration is mandatory for your business.

Non-compliance can lead to penalties, so it's important to act before the deadline rather than after. Whether you've already been notified or you're checking proactively, make sure your business is on the right side of this regulation well ahead of February 2027.
