As some of you might have noticed, I've been pretty incognito for a while. This time has being trying for me, as it has for all of us. However, I've taken this time to recalibrate my career direction.
I realize that while I do love coaching because I enjoy having a tangible impact on others, I also want to do some other things that I enjoy and have developed a passion for.
When I did my MBA, I began learning a bit about data analytics, and I honestly found it fascinating to see how big business was using big data to drive real time business decisions. Interestingly, I've also noticed the application of analytics in sports, particularly in the NFL. That got me thinking about the myriad opportunities to leverage insights from data to drive decision-making.
So....
I've just begun a journey to build a career in and . I'll document the journey here, as there might be others who want to make a career transition to or and learning from my mistakes and positive experiences might shorten the learning curve for someone else.
I've just obtained a certification to go along with my certification. Importantly, I'm currently doing a in and I just started the Business Intelligence Analyst and Scrum Bootcamp with MyTechBestfriend. Inshallah I'll finish the Udacity Nanodegree by year's end and the bootcamp runs until the end of February.
I'm working on learning right now, and I'll look to add certifications for and by the end of the bootcamp. In an ideal world, I'd love to do for the Pittsburgh Steelers, as I've been a fan since I was a kid. However, I'm realistic enough to know I'll need to prove myself with a role somewhere else before trying to work with the Steelers, but then again, you never know.
