A beautiful expression of Sarbat da Bhala.

At a time when so much of our energy is understandably directed towards self-preservation and preserving the Panth through the many challenges Sikhs face, it’s beautiful to see a Guru Ghar still making space for Sikhi to flourish in service beyond the Sikh community.

This is what Guru Nanak’s house looks like.

The seva of the Fremont Gurdwara committee was profoundly spiritual. While many will remember the langar, the arrangements, and the compassion shown to a grieving family, we shouldn’t overlook the gift of Sukhmani Sahib. We can never fully know the peace, grace, and passage the Bani may have offered to the Atma of these sisters.

This is Sikhi at its highest: quiet, selfless, and expecting nothing in return.
