The hidden extra work of AI tools.

The promise of AI was more time for strategic thinking. Everyday reality often looks quite different. 😅

A survey of over 2,000 marketing leaders shows that 81% switch between two or more disconnected AI tools every week. Only 19% work in a single, integrated platform.

The result? A lot of time gets lost in manual busywork. Globally, 76% of marketing leaders spend three hours or more each week editing, fact-checking, and refining AI output. In Sweden, a notable 20% report spending 6–10 hours a week on rework—the highest figure among all surveyed markets.

When tools don't share context, friction builds up: manual copy-pasting between systems, compliance challenges, and a generic tone of voice that loses what makes the brand unique.

Simply adding more AI solutions rarely speeds things up. Real business value happens when AI is integrated into a cohesive ecosystem that actively supports the organisation's actual workflows.
