The history of cold weather testing in northern Sweden goes back to the day when representatives from Teldix (now Bosch) happened upon the founders of Icemakers, David Sundström and Per-Axel Andersson, whe
n preparing an ice runway for their aircraft on Lake Hornavan. David and Per-Axel were quick to help the test engineers with an ice track, a workshop with an office and accommodation. Today
Icemakers serves and has served companies like, just to mention a few: BMW, Bosch, MAN, Mercedes, Michelin, PSA, Renault and Toyota with confidence over the years. In every day talk “Icemakers” is one concept, but going into details we actually have our operations divided between the following companies:
Icemakers AB,
supply all kinds of services, except endurance test work. The main part of our staff is employed in this company and work machines and other vehicles necessary to deliver state of the art test services in Arjeplog also belong here. Icemakers Test AB,
is our company working with new services and new markets. Endurance test work and connected services are supplied by this company. Starting from the test season 2012-13 we are supplying test track services also in Arvidsjaur. Icemakers Facilities AB,
own land and fixed assets such as buildings, inventories and test tracks. All services needed for operation of these assets are supplied by Icemakers AB.
