Happy Midsummer from Syntronic!

Every country has its summer traditions. In Sweden, we celebrate by wearing flower crowns, dancing around a decorated pole and singing a children’s song about “Grandma’s little crow” bouncing down the road while an entire room enthusiastically sings along. This is considered completely normal behavior.

For Swedes, Midsummer is one of the highlights of the year. A time to enjoy the long bright evenings and spend time with family, friends and colleagues.

At Syntronic, we are proud of our Swedish roots and our teams across Stockholm, Gävle, Sandviken, Linköping, Lund, Gothenburg and Kumla. Together, they help bring Swedish engineering, innovation and collaboration to customers around the world.

We also appreciate the traditions that connect people across cultures and generations, even the wonderfully unusual ones.

At Syntronic, we believe that innovation starts with people. Supporting employee wellbeing is an important part of creating an environment where individuals and teams can thrive.

Across our global organization, colleagues come together through a variety of sports and wellness activities. From hiking clubs and football teams to ice skating groups and running events, these initiatives create opportunities to stay active, build connections, and have fun outside of everyday work.

One recent example was Vårruset, which translates to "The Spring Run", one of Sweden’s largest running events for women. Colleagues from our Gävle and Sandviken offices came together to participate, enjoying an active evening that strengthened team spirit and created new connections across teams.

Whether participating in local races, exploring nature together, or simply sharing a common interest, our employees continue to demonstrate the value of teamwork, community, and a healthy balance between work and leisure.

We are proud of the engagement and enthusiasm shown by our colleagues around the world and look forward to many more activities that bring people together.

Strong conversations, growth opportunities, and clear industry trends was in focus when Syntronic attended , one of North America’s leading security and advanced technology events.

This year’s event was significantly larger than last year and highlighted several key themes shaping the future of the industry, including wireless technologies, arctic surveillance, systems integration, and SatCom.

During the week, Syntronic hosted customers for in depth discussions, while also engaging with government representatives, industry leaders, and partners at events hosted by the Embassy of Sweden in Canada.

Our team also met with exhibitors and partners across the show floor, including companies connected to promising new RFP opportunities.

Canada continues to invest heavily in major aerospace, maritime, and security related programs, creating long term opportunities for collaboration, innovation, and advanced engineering expertise.

Today, on World Environment Day, we are reminded that building a more sustainable future requires long term collaboration, innovation, and action across industries.

At Syntronic, we believe in inspiring the next generation through technology and innovation. By connecting with young students early on, we hope to spark curiosity about STEM and help create stronger opportunities for the future.

Last week, Syntronic participated in two youth and education events in Sweden, Framtidskollen (“The Future Check”) and Kompisfestivalen (“The Friendship Festival”), through our collaboration with En bra start (“A Good Start”), a community initiative created by Swedish hockey club Brynäs IF. The initiative works together with schools, local organizations, and companies to support children and young people through activities focused on friendship, inclusion, movement, and future opportunities.

During the events, we met with middle school students to talk about technology in an interactive and inspiring way. One of the highlights was our in house developed Whac A Mole game, which quickly became a favorite among the students.

It was a great opportunity to encourage curiosity, creativity, and problem solving while introducing young people to the possibilities within technology and engineering. We had many inspiring conversations and met plenty of future innovators along the way.

We joined the Swedish Childhood Cancer Fund's annual Football Shirt Day to support children affected by cancer and the vital research that helps improve treatments and outcomes.

As part of the day, we hosted a Lunch & Learn where a colleague shared a personal family experience of childhood cancer, reminding us of the importance of community, awareness, and continued support for research. We're proud that our employees came together for this meaningful initiative, and that Syntronic will match all donations made by our teams.
