Is this Sweden's hottest potato? 🥔😎

Here's some inspiration for this year's New Year menu! 🥳 Try a Swedish classic: Hasselback potatoes, a perfect side dish to complement your protein. Leif Eriksson – chef 👨‍🍳 at the renowned 'Hasselbacken' restaurant in Stockholm – is often credited as the inventor of the dish, in 1953. However, similar recipes can be traced back to early 20th-century Swedish cookbooks.

Ingredients (4 portions):
🥔 800g potatoes
🧈 50g butter
🧂 0.5 tsp salt
🍞 3 tbsp breadcrumbs

Instructions: 👇
1️⃣ Put the oven on 250°C
2️⃣ Let the butter soften at room temperature.
3️⃣ Peel the potatoes. Cut them into thin slices, but not all the way through. Tip: Place the potatoes in a wooden spoon so they lie firmly and you won't cut through them by accident.
4️⃣ Place the potatoes with the cut side up in a baking dish, sprinkle with salt and breadcrumbs.
5️⃣ Coat each potato with butter.
6️⃣ Place the baking dish in the middle of the oven for 45–60 minutes (depending on the the oven) until the potatoes are soft, crispy on the surface and golden brown. Scoop from time to time with the butter.
7️⃣ Done! 😋
