VSÓ, an Icelandic consulting and engineering company, has evaluated the first Icelandic installation of Actibump, on behalf of the Icelandic Road and costal administration, Vegagerðin. Their conclusions are presented in short on their homepage, where you can also find contact information to the researchers who made the report. Google translate works reasonably well on the article.

Most notable to us was the fact that the inhabitants were very positive to the Actibump and many of them would like to see more Actibumps both locally and nationally. We've never made a study about the opinions of inhabitants so that was very interesting!

As we are expanding our business into traffic counting using number plate recognition it has become important for us to show our commitment to information security and show that we take privacy issues seriously. As a part of this we have worked hard to implement an information security management system and we have now gotten it approved by Svensk Certifiering Norden AB.

The Vision Zero Conference was this week, in Stockholm. Around 250 experts in the field of traffic safety gathered for a two day conference and Trafikverket made a film about us and the . Why we do what we do and what problem we solve. After the film was played there was a nice buzz in the audience!

Gravel. Is that an issue for the ?
No. There is no way for the gravel to get stuck by the hatch as the hatch ways 300 kilos and will crush the gravel, if need be. There is also plenty of space for gravel to gather below the hatch where it doesn't affect the mechanics.

How do bus companies and chauffeurs feel about the Actibump? The ones we've spoken to say they prefer it to other speed reducing measures. Actibump increases passenger comfort, improves the work environment of the driver and gives them better accessibility.
